I just watched a show that inferred that man made climate change is real.

Global warming aka Climate change is real (*) and, sadly, human activity since the industrial revolution is the primary instigator.

It's so real that it was first predicted in 1896 by Swedish physical chemist Svante Arrhenius.
He noted that human activity was putting into the atmosphere more carbon dioxide and that it was going to increase temperatures. He thought this might be a good thing for Sweden because they'd have milder winters.

Global warming is really very simple physics and easy to understand if you're a least a physics student and learn about the kinetic theory of gases. Really, the relevant physics is the same physics that predicts all sorts of phenomena including why the atmospheres of all the planets in our solar system are what they are.

But, back to Svante...

In 1896, he didn't give a shit about US politics or have a "liberal agenda".
He just followed the logical conclusions of what science was telling him.

I understand that, as a conservative, it is inconvenient when Nature has a liberal bias.

I hate modern TV shows. There is about one or two of new TV I watch once in a while.

Most of the time I watch the good stuff on METV. I just wish my roof TV antenna was high enough to get over that stupid mountain. So I can pull in NBC and watch that Antenna TV network and watch more old TV shows that METV doesn't have.

Can you get a bigger mast? I put mine on the peak of my house with an eaves mount and have a ten foot mast. I pull in about 30-35 channels. Most come in really good.

Yea, I wish things could be neutral. You see it even in tv shows now not just the news. In a perfect tv world the news would just give out the facts of what happened and tv shows would just be a story. It would make since if it was a political tv show but you see it tv shows that a story line that is not supposed to be political.

So you mean like a documentary? A class lecture? A scientific paper?

Hell, before the 80's, this was also the Republican stance, we just disagreed on how to solve it. Republicans regressed into denialism and any mention of the taboo topic is treated as some "radical leftist agenda". OK... way hand the world of scientific accuracy right into the hands of the left.

I still don't believe this is even a debate. We're having to put up with dragging along the tumor of denialists with this issue, like a pouty child who gave up walking.

And you know what? You're alone in the world. The scientific community has long agreed with the overwhelming evidence. Most countries listen to their scientists and focus on policies to deal with the facts rather than sitting here debating the facts

Want to be taken seriously on this front? Propose right-wing solutions to climate change. Stop handing this issue over to the left like you've given up already. Play your cards right and you can make bank on addressing climate change.

China is making bank on solar cell production that we could have been doing. Tesla is the highest valued car manufacturer because they make EVs that don't suck, and pulled the entire global automotive industry with them. Here's a good starter: leftists are generally disproportionately crazy-afraid of nuclear power. You can take that issue, and the science to back it up, as your own.

Yeah, that is why I bought more older series on DVD and more older movies too. Most of the modern TV shows are not enjoyable to me.

There are actually quite a few movie collections on DVD now for only $10 to $15 with 4 to 10 older movies on them and at least a few or more will be good.
I got Married With Children, Friends, Futurama, Becker, That 70s Show, and some movie collections in the last few years.

That's why I watch and listen to several TV and radio channels that cover both liberal and conservative views, so that I can form my own opinion, which is mostly middle of the road with some liberal and conservative views.

@SheikhKurdi like when a show is about a killer thrasher horror film, and they have to throw in some political statements, like it has nothing to do with love or romance but they have to suddenly have a LGBT couple suddenly making out, no one else is doing anything like that they are all running for their lives, no hetero or straight people are making out or anything, just throwing a political statement in the middle of something that makes no sense.

I get it, if its a drama or romance to be fair.

They can do that for any type of hot topic political issue though, throw it somewhere and it doesn't fit the narrative of what is going on at all.

I'm sick & tired of them existing but, as I haven't had a t. v. in well over a year and, even when I did, I mostly watched old shows from the `50's, `60's, `70's and `80's so, I never got much of that except for the bullshit in the commercials, I'm. not sick of seeing such shows because, I've never watched any.

Man-made climate change unfortunately is real. Conservatives deny that because dealing with it might hurt their precious profits. When they are drowning in the sea that has risen as a result of global warming, profits may not seem as important.
