Hokuto No Ken was my favorite growing up. It looks like a silly martial arts show but I think it actually has fairly deep things (well, at least for a kids' show) to say about various ways of being a man.
My favorite was Raoh:
He's a conqueror and, while the main antagonist, not really a villain. He just believes in achieving order and peace through strength and an iron fist. His fighting style is powerful and strong (Hokuto: North Star).
I also liked Rei a lot:
He's a lone wolf type with roguish charm. He's a good guy at heart but less so a leader than a loner. His fighting style is elegant and graceful (Nanto: South Star).
There's also Toki. He's a very forgiving man of kindness and mercy. His fighting style revolves around killing people in humane ways without causing them any pain.

Cheers! There's also the main character, Kenshiro. He was originally a very kind man, almost like Toki, but became driven by vengeance after the kidnapping of his wife, Yuria. His fighting style is that of the assassin. Yet in the process, he overcomes his vengeful desires and starts to become like a balance of the characters above.
I actually think it's a deep and philosophical show examining all sorts of male archetypes. At the surface level, it just looks like a dumb martial arts show with lots of silly and disposable fodder characters for the main characters to kill left and right. Yet the main characters are incredibly interesting.
It's also extremely macho and violent which appealed to me a lot as a boy. :-D It was actually targeted at kids here in Japan. Back in the 80s, parents didn't mind so much if kids were exposed to very violent shows.
Also even though I am from Japan, I've never been a huge fan of the style of most anime characters. So many look to me like skinny teenagers even if they're supposed to be incredibly strong. So I like how this show actually has men with muscles and women with some curves like this:
I like this type of style better but it has fallen out of popularity.
I actually found Kenshiro boring but this is him!

After he overcomes his vengeful thoughts, I found him too perfect as a man to relate with. Toki was also kind of boring to me being spo kind and merciful as a healer type of character but the reason his hair is white is because he saved people from nuclear holocaust and suffered severe radiation poisoning making his body extremely frail. He at least has some flaws, albeit not personality ones.
Cheers! Do you know Berserk? It is a newer one that might be more familiar to anime fans, but the comic book artist (Kentaro Miura) was profoundly inspired in part by Hokuto No Ken.
This is Berserk:

The main protagonist is Gatsu who was orphaned as a child and grew up with mercenaries. It really takes its due time to build up the characters starting from Gatsu's childhood while following him on his journey as he joins a mercenary group being led by an extremely charismatic and skillful leader with an odd relic.
A clip from the early beginning when Gatsu encounters the mercenary band:

Gatsu is also like a complete antihero. All he knows how to do is kill, and he fights in a way that's not elegant. It's reckless and all about physical prowess. He had to wield a grown man's sword starting from childhood and grew extremely strong, so he keeps scaling up the size of the blade he wields as he grows larger and stronger.
Funny thing is, all I see is cartoons from another country.
But all I hear they are not CARTOONS, but let's look at cartoons shall we.
Animated pictures is a cartoon
Anime is short for animated
So Anime is cartoons
So bite me you bitches
Got any Peanut Butter cookies
Anime differs in that it must be so by the hands of a Japanese. Beyond that it's really nothing more. But the themes in anime can keep the interest of all ages. There are some really graphic ones. Where American cartoons barely ever broke into the PG ratings you'll have some full on adult stuff in animes not limited to things like rape, genocide, war crimes, scientific horrors, etc. Lots of them touch on very real human emotions and historical patterns of evil in the human psyche. I like anime because they can portray things in ways that would require too big of a budget to show on live action shows.
Demon Slayer is amazing!
Rise of the Shield Hero!
Re:Zero!
Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai
All of those are great and I recommend checking them out! Hope this helps :)
aot was a huge phase for me when i was younger lol. but now, i think death note is the best one. i like how it's relatively realistic, but not slice-of-life or boring.

Over the years there were so many good anime released and I like the opinions of everyone giving their favorite anime here in the comment section. As for me, out of all the anime that I've ever seen in my life this one that I'm posting is my favorite. It is called My Last Day. I won't go into detail as to what it's about but if anyone click on the link that I've provided and watch the video for yourself I'm sure you would agree that this have to be one of the best anime movies of all time.
My all time favorite are Code Geass and Hunter x hunter and Attack on Titan
Code Geass is just great especially the ending, one of the best endings in an anime. Hunter Hunter is a shonen anime but doesn't go by the rules most go by and it has so many great characters you care about and its not afraid to take main characters out of the show to show other ones for a while, as if every character is a main character. Attack on Titan is also so action packed and it was what got me into anime in the first place
I know these arenβt really an anime but for I still love Avatar and W. I. T. C. H
not judging at all but seven deadly sins is super cringy in my opinion hahaha
I like Naruto, one piece, black clover
Naruto, first anime I watched as a kid and grew up watching it, I've never loved any other anime more than that.
Iβm heading towards the path of Dominion.
Fullmetal Alchemist
Tokyo Revengers
Black Butler
Attack on Titan
Hunter x Hunter
I liked Tenchi and FMA, not really watched much in the last many years.
Attack on Titan, Tokyo ghoul & Demon Slayer
One Piece, Oregairu, Death Note, OPM.. the list goes on.
DBZ, Death Note, Naruto
At that point itβs pretty much over
I will watch no such thing
Fairy tail because it's so good and funny
These are excellent: animegrab. me/.../
