I don't mind anime but there are just so many different kinds of great entertainment that it tends to take a back seat. (I don't have to put up with 'fan service' if I'm watching Scrubs) But there are a few I *really* enjoy:

*Kirarin Revolution:
14 year old girl obsessed with food falls for a boy she finds out is famous & decides to become famous so she can get to know him. It's pretty hilarious & completely adorable.

*Ai Yori Aoshi:
A moving (adult focused) romance anime about insecurities, ambition, expectations & challenges in relationships. Yes it does have some cringey over the top parts but for the amazing storyline that flows through most of it, it's definitely worth a watch. Just uh, skip the first 30 seconds, literally. I don't care if it's meant to be artistic, it's OTT.

*Detective Conan
An amazing teenage detective on the verge of exposing a gang is given a potion that makes him look like a child. He solves crimes with his mutual teenage crush (girl) who he has to keep coming up with excuses for. This is a long series that's been around longer than pokemon & almost as long as Astro Boy. So good!

I tend to avoid excessive violence or *cough* 'adult themes', gore or anything super natural in my anime. So it can be hard to find ones that qualify. I think I had the most fun with Kirarin, it was so ridiculous I was laughing so much.

I'm into basically all genres (I'm a firm believer of "There's no bad genre, only bad shows"), though shounen and comedy animes usually are my favorites.
I'm really into Gintama, HxH, BNHA, One Punch Man, Assassination Classroom, Fate, Nichijou, Ordinary Life of School Boys, KonoSuba etc.
Though I do like shoujo and stuff like that, like I for one greatly enjoyed OHSHC
Cute girls do cute things anime, horror, slice-of-life, I'm just generally into to every genre.

Lol I'm like that! Kotoro connection is good, I haven't finished it yet but it's got some romance from what I can tell and it's funny. It's about a group who keep switching bodies. Kobato is also good, it's got a bit of romance and it has a sad/happy ending. Worth watching it made me cry lol

I loved the Cell Saga, I think his first adult form was creepy as hell, especially the noise he made when he drained people, and how helpless they all were. Thanks, I will watch the DBZ Abridged later. I need to watch the alternative one with the Androids too, the reality where Trunks is the hero.

The one's above, wolf girl and the black prince and lovely complex. Black prince is a guy who doesn't do relationships and just uses the girl for his own personal gain. Girl falls for him cause he stuck up for her when another guy was trying to use her to get back at him. Lovely complex is about two frenemies who have a lot in common but love to bicker, eventually Risa sees otani as a boy that she wants to be more with cause he chose to spend time with her over another girl. The only problem is, she's tall and he's short which is why he is hesitant to go out with her plus they have been frenemies for long time.

I generally just read the manga, anime tends to be drawn out and have a lot of filler, the manga is better than the anime 9/10. Berserk, ichi the killer, gantz, battle royale, Dragon ball, One piece, naruto, zetman, veritas, full metal alchemist, vegabond, bleach, death note. I use to be really into manga, but haven't read in a long time.
