For all you comic book fans, is Batman a superhero?

Question

A friend (geeky one) told me that, technically speaking, Batman isn't a superhero. In order to be a superhero you have to posses super powers. Would you agree? I think a dude running around in tights and a cape should count for something!

i agree with your nerd friend that superheroes must have superpowers
but what your nerd friend has failed to do
is define what a super power is
a super power is an exceptional or extraordinary ability
according to this
if batman does not have a superpower then superman doesn't either
his power's are extraordinary to us but are completely natural to him
but wait there's also the word exceptional: unusual; not typical.
Superman's abilities may be natural to him but he is still unusually powerful
and batman, similarly, is extremely physically strong and an incredible strategist; in my opinion theae are unusual or atypical abilities because of just how great they are
so i would conclude that batman does have a superpower, just not the usual kind, and therefore is a superhero

I think - according to ''American thinking'' - any cross dresser has the stuff to be a super-hero :D

Batman is indeed a superhero. He was not born with any super powers but he has created a persona that can do things that nobody else can. He has advanced technology, advanced training, mn he has one advantage that Superman does not have, he is rich.
