I'm a singer and I've always wanted to be the voice for a Disney Princess. So I made this video of me singing The Little Mermaids song Part of this world.

It's not easy to match your voice to an animated character. Usually they match the character to you. Also this was done with a small cheap karaoke. So it's not professional. Lol!

Definitely! Since I was a little girl as far back as I can remember I would sing along with the radio. I'd even sing along with commercials. My family obviously recognized I had some sort of singing talent because they would be surprised how good I was.

Unfortunately I didn't believe I was good until strangers would tell me at karaoke how good I was and then I finally recorded myself singing and listened back. Then I thought it does sound good. Lol!

Yes yes yes. I'm still trying to find my "passion". I know I always think about others: their personalities, perceptions, life experiences, relationships with others. . .
I have a lot of appreciation for art. I like reading fiction. I like animals and own several.
I hate the idea of using manipulation tactics like a business or salesperson.
Community college psych/soc major atm. What job is right for me?
I've thought about the psychology field but I'm worried about making the wrong decision should I apply for a graduate program.

I've been too restrained by society to have really tried any of my passions for manufacturing, resources management, power engineering, aquaponics or innovative housing.

They all happen to be persuits which have the potential to increase people's self reliance and autonomy, and therefore there's a web of red tape, hostile counter influence and elite interference with these kinds of projects.

There's also the fact that society has fractured itself into a collection of hyperspecialists and really doesn't know how to react to polymaths other than by trying to turn them into inert academics.

I'm getting there though, It's just going to take time to outmaneuver the entrenched opposition and obtain capital.

For now I'm studying project management and casually daytrading. Patience is the name of the game.

Thinking I'll work for two or three companies at once managing projects before launching a few of my own.

Wow. You are blessed with a natural gift. You're instrument (voice) is amazing and you have total control of pitch, vibrato, timing and dynamics.

I'm a vocalist, myself. I've done it semi-professionally in bands and people like my voice, which is hugely flattering, even though I'm my worst critic. I don't have your vocal range, but I learned how to choose the right key and use what I have - all the tools in my tool box. Singing takes awareness and control. It's exactly like playing a musical instrument.

I encourage you to keep singing and practicing. Consider playing around and stylizing some songs a bit by using your own unique vocal tools and timing.

Put yourself out there and pursue your dream but always sing for the joy of it. Musicians do it because they love it, even if they never get rich and famous.

Make a professionally-recorded/edited demo and get yourself noticed in many random ways - you never know what will come of these little seeds you plant.

Even if you are doing an off-camera voice in a local production, that will be a start. Just get something- ANY thing- to start building a resume, even if it's volunteering at the local summer school and teaching improv- you would be able to use a LOT of voices there.
