Anyone on GAG learning or playing a musical instrument if so, what do you play?

I have been learning Violin for the past year or so, and find it very difficult, and the only thing that keeps me interested is listening to another pro violinist. I really like Anastasia Petrychok (spelling)

As a kid I played clarinet, drumms, guitar, flute and mandolin. It all takes patience and a lot of training to learn. I still remeber the basics but I can play by the sound. I still own my first mandolin and still like to play it sometimes. I would just recomend you to try and play it daily. It is time comsuming and you'll have probably a lot of days when you'll want to quit, but keep going. It's worth it in the end. Especially if you love it.

Thank you. I am going to start piano also, starting with a 30-minute lesson.
Violin is SO VERY DIFFICULT, but I simply cannot quit after going this far. I started in a very disjointed way, once with an 'instructor' who was not a trained teacher and learned a lot of bad habits. Then went to a "Drill Sargeant" type from Russian, and THAT didn't work. Now with a Certified instructor and she plays Violin, Viola, and Piano. I am probably her oldest student since most of the students are very young. I have probably had fewer than 10 'lessons' from her, and she says I am much improved from my start with her. Thanks for your encouragement. I appreciate that.
