there was a guy that did a western themes kids show back in the 70s. This is the theme song from that show. It was called Boomtown. It starred Rex Trailer

@exitseven Very nice music. I was wondering why I'd never heard of Boomtown and the Hoofbeats theme song. It was on WBZ Boston (1956-1974) and I grew up in western NY.

It was just a local kids show. Rex Trailer was a real cowboy who was a friend of Gabby Hayes and he encouraged him to go into television. He auditioned to be on Howdy Doody but Buffalo Bob Smith got the role. He went to WBZ instead. He was a local legend. He was a customer of my father and I remember meeting him in person. He wore the cowboy hat and belt all the time. I remember thinking he was a giant because I was so little.
