🎥 What movies always lift your mood?

Have any movies that always seems to cheer you up when you watch them? 🍿

A good karate or fighting movie that keeps me on the edge of my seat always makes me in a better mood

I love a good romance, romantic comedy, or romantic drama.

Some of those would be:

• When Harry Met Sally (this is old-school writing and directing that doesn't exist anymore; thank you, Nora Ephron and Rob Reiner. You are irreplaceable.)
• Crazy, Stupid, Love. (the best non-cliche writing in a rom-com I can remember; oh, except for Spanglish. But that one doesn't end happily)
• Love, Actually (a great ensemble cast, with happy endings all around)
• Age of Adaline (an underknown, underappreciated little gem; Blake at her best)
• Midnight in Paris (Woody Allen's best movie he ever made; and most profitable)
• You've Got Mail (considered "too cute" by some, but to me, this is classic rom-com at its absolute best, presented by two formerly beloved actors at the top of their game)

But also any really great film. They uplift me just because of their greatness, not even so much the subject matter.

• Moneyball ("How can you not be romantic about baseball?" Best line ever. Even for a non-sports enthusiast like me)
• Almost Famous (considered a perfect movie; it's about the 1970s rock era, written and directed by Cameron Crowe, the man who actually lived the key role)
• Burn After Reading (the best dark comedy I have ever seen)
• Forrest Gump (an anyone-can-be-special, make something of their life, kind of inspiration)
• Good Will Hunting (heavy, but inspiring)
• Lost in Translation (love can happen between the unlikeliest of people)
• Out of Sight (clever, clever. This movie never dates, for me. I've lost count how many times I've seen it)
• Stranger Than Fiction (this is a film for writers. I smile the entire time)

Sorry, this is 5 months late, but now we're in Christmas, so:

• Elf
• It's a Wonderful Life
• A Christmas Story

These are my must-sees, almost. I don't have to see them every year, but they're my favourites. And "Love Actually" is also Christmasy, but I already covered that.

Sorry, I got carried away. I love film. I have a list. ha ha
