Is Fruits Basket a good anime?

Ok so I’ve heard a lot of good things about Fruits Basket but I never saw it when I was younger and am interested in it. I love Shojo anime especially Ouran HHC, Yona of the Dawn, Card Captors, Sailor Moon etc and need a good slice of life anime to try out.

The only related title I ever got into was a manga series called Death Note. I’d give other things a chance, and will surely have to as a librarian, but at the moment that is my only frame of reference.

it is about homeless girl who live with two or three dudes ( i forgot) , it is chick flick kind of anime so you would love it
