Why was Anakin Skywalker not granted the Rank of Master?

It was outrageuos, it was unfair. How cold you be on the council and not be a master? This has never been do in the history of the Jedi its insulting.

STAR WARS: Anakin Skywalker was a slave boy on tatooine who was the prophesized Chosen One who would bring balance to the Force, who became a Jedi Padawan who was ambitious and good spirited yet often reckless padawan learner, who went back to save him mom from slavery and murdered Tusken Raiders, forged a secret forbidden relationship, fought Count Dooku and got his arm cut off and got a robot hand, became a Jedi Knight and fought in the clone wars, maturing and becoming more wise, over the course of the war being a great hero and jedi and warrior and slowly more distursting of jedi order and becoming more dark edgy minded and angry, to being manipulated to the Dark Side by Emperor Palpatine and becoming Darth Vader from the original trilogy
