What are some books and tv shows you all are currently occupied with?

Currently reading the first volume of Berserk manga & Tim Kennedy’s Stars and Stripes.

I’ve loaned Stars and Stripes to one of my sergeants as I wasn’t really reading it consistently so I’ll start back up on it after he’s done.

As for shows I’ve watched everything currently on The Boys, finishing up my second watch of Sons of Anarchy, and started Peaky Blinders.

Currently, I am reading "The Right: The Hundred Year War for American Conservatism" by Matthew Continetti. Notwithstanding the somewhat sensationalistic title, this is an excellent and quite sober intellectual and political history of conservatism in the United States.

Though I add that what we Americans call conservatism is actually a variant of classical liberalism. Nevertheless, Continetti is a superb writer with a gift for in-depth analysis. For anyone interested in such topics, I highly recommend it.

As to television, pretty much just various talk shows and news programs, plus occasional re-runs of "Seinfeld," "The Goldbergs," "The Big Bang Theory," and "Hogan's Heroes." Among the news programs, although I find him, at times, to be somewhat strained and crude, I do enjoy "Gutfeld!" (Though I usually "tape it" and watch it at a more reasonable hour.) I also enjoy "The Five."

Suffice to say, I am not a huge fan of contemporary television. In fact, these days I seem to be in a bit of 1980s nostalgia - I went to high school and college in those years - and have watched, a few times over the spring and summer, three great movies, "Risky Business," "Ghostbusters" and the greatest "movie" - as distinct from "film" - of all times, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."

I just finished all seasons available of Peaky Blinders, so... I'm not watching anything else at the moment

but I am tempted to start The Mayans, which is an spin off coming from Sons of Anarchy, tempted... but just have not done it yet

I finally started watching stranger things. Also been rewatching the fosters. Reading where the crawdads sing. Though I'll probably finish that today then watch the movie. I think the next book I'm reading is it ends with us.

I heard berserk is one of the best manga ever written, is it true?

Yes, it is, but it has pretty mature themes and isn't for everyone.

That said... I think it's one of the best mangá (and the animé are decent too) I've read. It's still ongoing. It has a lot of strong, three-dimensional characters.
