So what y’all reading?

I am starting to love reading again. For the last two or three years I have been almost unseparated from my audio book account. Obviously that’s not quite the same but I can track what is happening better when I am listening rather then looking at the words. I do just love it though. And it makes me curious… what are you all reading or listening to?

Do you like books? Audible has been my best friend for literally a year and a half. Anyone else?

I used to want to make an erotic audio book but other than that, i dislike reading. I prefer wordsearch puzzle books

Lol! Oh my gosh I love those too! If I’m looking for a puzzle book that is usually what I pic. either that or sudoku. But that’s just because my eyes don’t get along well with letters.

I am currently on a pause from a book, Heroes of Olympus: The Mark of Athena. I took a pause because I wanted to binge-watch some TV shows and movies.

Doctor Sleep is one of the books that I am not even finished reading. I got into Percy Jackson, then that lead to Heroes of Olympus and The Trials of Apollo. Doctor Sleep became in and out boring for me, just like it's prequel, The Shining. You have to read more of the book to get to the good parts, like all books you've never read before.

I am not finished with IT. That book is very thick. And it became boring, but when you get to the parts where it seemed like it's getting good, it doesn't. The book is good, it's just a lot to read. That's not a problem, but I can't keep myself reading that book.

Maybe this is the last book, Seeds of Yesterday. I am not finished reading this book because it keep triggering my depression. The books before this one, (it's a book series) triggered my depression as well, but I kept pushing through and kept on reading. Seeds of Yesterday is the fourth book out of five. I am halfway done reading the book and it has been a little over two years since I've read the book.

And yeah! My nieces and nephews all got really in to the Hero’s of Olympus and the Percy Jackson books. I want to read them so I know what their talking about but who knows when I will be able to with all that I have still that I want to read. Lol! But I would suggest not finishing g the seeds of yesterday… I don’t know that sounds un healthy though.

"No excuses!" $8 at the Barnes and noble and it says how to strengthen your discipline. And so far, my mind is seeing MUCH bigger than any of my family I think. Liiike how about a little story from it?

Bob. One of the salesman who came in a total noob. He saw the 6 best salesmen in the business and they always came in lookin like a pimp named slick back. (not like that but you know) and he was hanging out with the other guys who wasn't so new but was different from them. They came in on time or so, eat doughnuts and drag their feet to selling. 6 guys came in early, did their homework, got to work asap. So he asked them "bruh... how the fuk?" and they told him, he LEARNED AND DONE IT (important lesson). And he was the only they knew that actually came up and asked how they do so well. And now he's one of the best... because he learned the thing, took the advice and did it. Voila. <3

Ah, you’re a man of culture!
In general I love reading! Actually I’m reading Kawaguchi “Before the coffee gets cold”, a novel from one of my favourite Japanese writers. In general I’m passionate about every genre, I’m not a picky reader and I read everything, from historic books to autobiographies, from romance to fantasy, from philosophy to classical literature.
Usually I prefer the ol’ good paper book (yes, I’m pro deforestation 😂), I don’t find so comfortable reading on tablets or e-reader, maybe I’m only old fashioned.

Oh my gosh no I get that! There is something about paper. Old new it doesn’t matter I love all real books and I tried doing the kindle when it first came out and Instantly lost interest. And yeah I enjoy history novels and Autobiographies as well. I just have a hard time with poetry stuff like that.

Ikr, there’s really something valuable in smelling, touching and browsing a book! Poetry can be very difficult to manage but I think it can be appreciated by sensible souls.

I mean that is fair! I have found some that I really enjoyed. Actually my gram and now even my 13 year old nice rights poetry. But I haven’t really known where to start to try to get in to it more… I guess maybe I need to do some research.

Oh sure, I think maybe there are Anglo Saxon authors that can help you, like Wordsworth and Keats, that are Romantic poets and some of their works aren’t too difficult. I can’t help you a lot more since I mainly read poetry in my language and… poetry usually isn’t translatable 😅

Nowmally its a fiction, Fantasy and some less interesting book like "Prime numbers" or "The biography of Gorge Washington" (It was really cheap, I don't even live in the US 😅)

I think the worst case I had was when I read LOTR the first time
And read some militery one, a math one, Hijecerguide to the Galaxy (switched with I think 7 gates or Misborn when was done with it) and LOTR
But nowmally keep it to 3 in the same time
