What's your favorite work of Classic literature?

Not sure what you mean by "Classic". Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" has been a favorite since I first read it in high school. Also Thomas Hardy's "The Mayor of Casterbridge" although it's incredibly sad, Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "The Tempest", and others, and many of Mark Twain's short stories.

My favourite unfortunately never wrote something down: Diogenes.

I have a few. Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky, Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, Le Père Goriot by Honoré de Balzac, The Sorrows of Young Werther by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and The Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger.
