Can you really blame Jennette McCurdy for being jealous of Ariana Grande at one point?

In McCurdy's new book, she talks about being jealous at one point of Ariana Grande because she got to play charades at Ton Hanks' house, got to travel and have a popstar career while Jennette was more or less stuck to do Sam and Cat. Producers always thought Jennette was way too homely and wholesome. Ariana however came from a wealthy family while Jennette came from a abusive mother household where she was micromanaged on everything and slept in dirty conditions in her house on Costco kindergarten mats.

Yes I can understand the jealousy because her childhood mentally made her set up to have image issues. She took on adult situations at a young age and I have so researched that the producer of many of those shows , Dan Schneider would give the girls he thought were beautiful special treatments and such. I’m glad she’s in a place now where she equally understands that Ariana definitely has gone through harassment and potentially has been a victim of a predator just like Jeanette has and shouldn’t be jealous of her. I just purchased this book myself and I can’t wait to give it a read

@smahala1991 he’s actually the reason Amanda Bynes went ape shit for a while. There was a point where he was excluding her and such, but also touchy with her. The videos also go into detail about how those young actresses and other auditioners were dropped off to him without parental supervision and he would have them do whatever including going into hot tubs with him in bathing suits unsupervised

What I can say right now is that, this is dark stuff. I know every single one of the actresses mentioned here. (Miranda Cosgrove, Victoria Justice, Amanda Bynes, Jennette McCurdy, Ariana Grande and Jamie Lynn Spears) I grew up watching literally EVERYTHING on Nickelodeon during the 90s. I would specifically watch shows with these actresses because of my sisters. I was too young to notice these "foot fetishes" but, I do recall still questioning some scenes in these shows.

I LOVE Kennan and Kel. Those were my boys when I was a kid. They really cracked me up with their shows and comedy. And the worst part is that, I love Good Burger, which is written by Dan Pedo Schneider. It is so saddening to find out all of this was happening in the background. I had NO idea what these actresses were going through, let alone Amanda Bynes who really lost it at one point. (All That was a favorite show of mine as well.)

She has touched on his temper. She also said that he gave her alcohol once or twice and gave her a massage but nothing really beyond that. I don't know if there really is more with her but I know there is with others. A lot of the abuse she talked about was from her mom.

I hated that to. Even watching it as a kid I could tell kat was favoured granted she was more attractive but for sure wrong to favour one based on than for a kids show. Including they were young themselves.
Only good thing is Ariana is ugly now and her personality seems fake along with a lot of songs about sex and there is nothing worse than boring pop songs just all about sex so while she has wealth shrugs I say she lost were it matters.

I’ve yet to read the book and I never really kept up with the drama that unfolded with Nickelodeon and Disney stars. I think the last ‘scandal’ I heard of was Jamie Lynn spears getting pregnant and zoey 101 being cancelled as a result. And that was years ago. So I don’t know what happened with Janette. But based on that little explanation jealousy is a normal emotion to have, everyone gets jealous at one point and those that come from abusive or poor backgrounds do tend to feel jealous when their peers have it better especially when they come to the hard realization that her mom and life isn’t like others. It isn’t normal. And that sends her through a loop and allows resentment and jealousy to build up.
