Do you like Tv shows releasing episodes once a week or when they release the entire season at once?

Question

I like how some shows are starting to put out one episode at a time again.
We all get to watch it together and you don’t have to worry about the pressure of binge watching the entire season within a couple days to catch up and avoid spoilers 😅

I don't mind a one-week wait between episodes nearly as much as the one-year wait between seasons. For that reason, if I'm late getting into it, and a series has already concluded, it's great to be able to just watch the whole lot at my own pace (maybe two or three episodes at a time) - but if the series is still in production, it's nice to have the episodes spread out over a period of two or three months.

I also think the episode-per-week format is much better where there is more of an overarching story, and frequent cliff-hangers, as it builds anticipation (eg. Game of Thrones) - unlike something where each episode can pretty much stand alone, and even the order in which episodes are watched, doesn't usually matter all that much (eg. Emily In Paris).

I like to churn my subscriptions. If a series is released an episode at a time, I avoid certain areas of the internet (ie: social media), to avoid spoilers, until the last episode is released... at which time, I pay a month, binge, and then deactivate my account at the end of the billing cycle. There are free (pirated) alternatives... But I tend to shy away from that, in case legal ramifications could be placed upon the consumer.

It's much more convenient when an entire season is dropped, at once.

Entire season so I can watch it whenever insteading waiting. I tend to forget or loose interest if they release the entire first season, then they can start on the second and by the time we're done watching the second season will already be available.

One episode per week. If they all come out at once, I have to binge watch them, which gets the series over too fast, plus there's a huge gap to the next season. One episode per week takes longer, which is good (I can do other things between episodes) and the gap to the following season is not so great, which maintains continuity and interest.

I don't like binge watching. The buzz for the entire show is done and over with in just a few days with Netflix style releases. Week by week is definitely the best way to go.

To me those who prefer to binge watch are the impatient type. O am more into a show if I have to wait a week for each episode than if I can binge watch an entire season. Too many people who binge watch shows ruin it for others.
