Girls, was anyone else conflicted about how the female body is used in art and media?

I was back in the past. I always was bothered by how the media used scantily clad models to sell a product. However, I was always an art enthusiast and I always thought the inclusion of a naked lady in a tasteful pose with all the graceful curves added a certain "elegance" to it.

I guess it comes down to whether your objectifying or celebrating the female body. And if guys think that thinking that the female body is beautiful makes women "lesbians" then they should STFU about "big dick energy" (or suck on one).

Lol I mean yes, I don’t want to push anyone’s buttons, but I think it’s okay if I said men probably “appreciate” the female body more than anyone because they just enjoy it at a high level of enthusiasm 😂.

Women on the other hand appreciate the female body on a more intellectual vantage point, so both really aren’t necessarily bad.

Any man who disrespects a woman and still used her body is a huge problem 🙅‍♀️, but other than this, guys are like ‘boys who enjoy candy by the taste, and girls enjoy knowing *how* the candy was made and how long it took for the candy to be delivered to the store’ 😂.

Two different ends of the totem pole, but yes I can see the conflicting emotions/ thoughts and have felt and thought about those before as well.

Yes, some pictures or commercials with naked women or focused on women's bodies bother me. It seems that most times women are portrayed as sex objects.

But I agree with you, if it's simply to admire a woman's body, I see nothing wrong with it. The picture that you posted is beautiful!

Yeah she's really talented. But one thing that I really like about her art is that while the women she depicts are in great shape, she doesn't restrict her choice of models to girls with fat depositing genetics, bone structure and muscle insertions that only a small genetic elite have. Unlike IG, the standard of beauty she sets is one you have to work for but is still attainable for everyone.

That's amazing! It's interesting that she depicts different kinds of bodies and doesn't have a standard. I don't like artists who only portray "perfect" bodies.
