I mean we’re powerful and we have influence. We’re god’s gifts. What can I say... 😂😂
well-said, Alyssa11
Amen
Sad & shameful
why? what about it bothers you?
I know but what's actually wrong with that? I mean you're jealous or you don't like other women or you don't like men staring at pretty girls? what's the rub?

My issue is when people claim that overt sexualization is used in leu of actual quality or substance to or from a product or service. Take streaming for example. Guys work their entire lives to become even the least bit good enough in a specific niche of gameplay style to be able to put out content and get clicks. Females on the other hand can become good streamers without knowing how to turn on a console or do anything at all it’s a problem with simps that creates problems for everyone. Females get too much attention from them and it inflates their ego to unrealistic levels and men don’t get shots with women of their own attractiveness level.
When it comes to traditional marketing, I don’t have much of an issue with it. I have more of an issue with lifestyle marketing than I do with using the female form to market to men.
That said, my education is in marketing and design so I could go on and on for why one set of standards is okay while the other is borderline pornographic or prostitution.
I've actually done this myself once before and it's not as glamorous as people think. We were to work not just stand there and look pretty as many people think. I couldn't go for a wee when I wanted and it was extremely hot that day so I was really sweaty and gross. We were constantly being moved around show rooms and to be honest most the men didn't really care for us they were more interested in the cars and were kinda patronising and rude.
Also we couldn't eat for ages and had no water. Really wouldn't recommend also I wasn't a model of any sort. I worked for a event company and they needed some brand ambassadors for the event but some didn't show so me and some other of my female colleagues had to take there place
How long did they make you go without eating? My job 6 hours before a lunch is normal but I'm in health care
@Leahbear232 about 7 hours but we were sneaking snacks in secret and they gave us salty chips at the end of a very hot day with no water and are lips were so chapped
7 hours is illegal in most places. That's crazy you had to sneak snacks. That's basically forced starvation at that point. I'd contact HR or whoever is in charge of running things because that is against the law
@Leahbear232 I no longer work there anyway.
It's a gross practice, and fairly annoying how often it comes it. Not even just with cars, like it's blatantly in movies and shows. Like why do they ALWAYS have to go to a strip club?
And even on games that have NOTHING to do with anything. I saw one just the other day where it eas advertising some game, it was just some basic mobile game like bejeweled or candy crush, and in the ad the chose to have some young woman (probably not over 21) bent over in a bikini in the middle of what was clearly just a living room.
Hardly even showed their actual game. Just why?
Its literally objectifying women yet its funny how feminists dont protest that. Women know they like the idea of being sexually desirable so how is it unacceptable for an overweight guy to stare too long at her assets?
very well-said
@SpaceGalaxy the longer he is allowed to stare the more incentive he will have to work on himself, thus bettering society.
One of the most basic rules of marketing and econonics is that the (successful and profitable) product is never at fault, only the consumers are. Automobile companies (as well as companies in pretty much every sector) keep using sex to sell because, well, it works. Men want to have these women and women want to be them (attractive, sexy and desireable enough to make successful men spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on/for them). Why does it work so efficiently? Well, because we are morons, of course :D If we stop buying products advertised by sex and focus on those utilizing practical infomercials - companies will stop objectifying sex. However, as any vegan would gladly tell you - ideoligical boycotting doesn't really work unless your numbers are great enough, which is almost impossible to achieve.
I mean sexuality is used to sell almost everything these days. I do not see anything wrong with it provided the product isn't claiming something directly that is not true. As consumers and adults we are responsible for making intelligent choices and questioning what we see and hear.
If you buy a car simply because a sexy woman in a bikini was sitting on it then you may very well be making a bad choice.
I just think it's weird that no one has a problem with womens bodies being used to sell products but get upset about public breastfeeding and nudity.
@Inbox She was talking about breastfeeding, what bosoms were intended for anyways
@Leahbear232 breastfeeding vs nudity are two different words
@Inbox good job you can read. Dumbass and idiot are also two different words. Men have a problem for women dressing sexy for themselves as opposed to using their bodies for their intentions, or dressing how they want.
Don't get mad me, it's not my fault you're an unfuckable insecure feminist loser. Fun fact, breastfeeding is LEGAL in all 50 states. Moreover, you can keep living in this black and white world where equality (or angry that the world is continuously unfair), but we all get judged on how we dress. If I kept showing off my body with my top off, people will inevitably think I'm trying to be an male attention seeker - maybe you're not from the USA?
How you dress sends signals of what kind of person you are, regardless if you're a man or a woman. You can get mad about this, but it's all about levels. If I go to work or meet with clients without wearing a suit or good clothing, people are not going to take me seriously as a professional.
If I went to court with your attitude, I'd get yelled at by the judge and thrown out of the courtroom -
I may even lose my license.
For my dates, I dress up for them because odds are that they dressed up for me and it's also the self respective thing to do for those girls I go out with. If I don't, they may not take me seriously or may even think I don't take them seriously which I understand.
As long as all these evil creatures, 3.5 billion of them, known as men, don't bully or harass you, then don't worry about it.
@Inbox I'm the unfuckable loser? My boyfriend really prevents that. Couldn't walk after he was done. I don't know anyone else who can write a three paragraph essay about how they can't get a date, sounds like you're projecting.
@Inbox Your mother doesn't count.
@Inbox My dad is dead. You realize that's not an insult right? I had surgery in July 2020 to remove my fallopian tubes as a form of permanent birth control. My boyfriend and I don't want kids, but we'll certainly have fun trying.
@Inbox No, there's real issues happening to women then some pathetic boy saying "mankind." Get over yourself
@Inbox Men don't need to shave? Where? Many jobs and religious organizations ask for men to shave. And regardless of any rules, clean cut on men is much more popular than not
@Inbox also, you may not care about women breastfeeding but a lot of people, men and women think that women should only feed their kids at home or in some other private space
@Leahbear232 Shaving in comparison to what women have to do - not general requirements. With Feminists, they look at the world from a hyper technical/black and white standpoint on almost all issues. I understand that there are people that don't like breastfeeding in public, but as I said earlier, as long as those people don't bully or harass you, then don't worry about it if you can.
@Inbox I mean, I dunno your whereabouts but how is it different though? I mean I've never felt pressured to shave personally at least lol
@Inbox you're so annoying.
Normal, and no different using a Hunky guy for some product. It's called advertising a product and factually having someone who is attractive to the majority as a front person for it makes people think it's more attractive.
Looks are not everything, but when it comes to marketing that's pretty much the most important thing.
If someone told me i could have a job were i just had to stand there in front of a car... I would take that over most jobs.
Those women had a choice, I see nothing wrong with them making that choice. I mean, I think its stupid, what does an attractive woman have to do with whether or not a car has good gas mileage is beyond me, but as long as all parties are free to choose, I don't care.
Presumably because (straight) men buy them.
Not that any feminist/equality supporting organisation ever complained about that.
I'd think male bodies get shown to (straight) women buyers. Or that all women are slightly homosexual.
Or that they prefer to be objects of sexual desire so they don't complain about it and instead want to get paid to advertise (via) their bodies.
It's sexist. It's saying men are so dumb they'll buy anything if you stick a pair of tits next to it
@paradiseonearth93 exactly. I'm not sure why he's even worried about offending me because I'm not curvy so I'm not even a woman by his standards
Well it's obviously effective or they wouldn't do it. It doesn't matter what I think, it only matters what the models are willing to do, and what the agencies are willing to pay, and the net effect on profits. Twitter crazies will probably cry over how the women are "exploited", but honestly I think many working models would be insulted by some twitter warriors speaking on their behalf. I leave people to justify their own professions and livelihoods.
That said, speaking for myself, I've always found it more bemusing than "persuasive". It's just abundantly transparent to me that they're there to help fence product (the idea being that her feminine sex appeal will 'spill over' to the product and promote a positive association of "I'll have more sex appeal if I use this product").
I find models can be interesting to talk to outside of their place of work, many of them are actually well educated, ambitious, good business sense etc. They know exactly what their value is to businesses and I respect that sense of self-worth they have regarding their vocation. But talking to a model while she's "on the job" is basically like talking to a sales rep, it's not a sincere interaction because even if she appears to flirt or show interest in you, ultimately she wants to sell a gizmo. So as a social context I find it a bit surreal when I see models doing their thing at a trade show or wherever. But outside of their work they're just people trying to be resourceful and move forwards in life.
I like looking at pretty bodies, and cars are sometimes nice to look at, so no complaints from me.
It's not going to make me buy a car to lewd advertize though, so while I don't mind it,
I also don't get the logic behind it from an advertising perspective, it's not like the car comes with a date to meet the perfect wife.
They're making money, making guys briefly happy as eye candy, and helping to sell products people might find useful. I don't see anything wrong with it.
Stupid. I don't care if there's an orangutan standing next to it. If I'm buying a car I'm buying it based on what the car offers, as well as affordability. Nothing else. If she came with the car, then that might matter. But she doesn't, so I don't give a fuck if she's there.
Lol I know what they're trying to do. And to me it kind of cheapens the product.
Like you need to resort to using sex appeal to sell your product. That makes me think the product probably sucks and will break withing the first few times you use it.
I think it's better to just let the product speak for itself.
Doesn't really work per se.
I mean if I was a guy and the two in that image were used to "sell" let's say a Bronco Wildtrak or Warthog I'd wonder what's **wrong** with the vehicles. They'd be better suited standing around a Telsa "SUV".
In each case, it is performance, durability, ease and cost of maintenance, and handling that count (at least for me); and indeed, before pursuing a woman, just like before purchasing a car, it is prudent for a man to know himself first, to see if either meets his needs, fancies, and expectations; which is why I will never buy a car just because I see an attractive female next to the car.
It’s a good idea for some cars. If you’re selling a sporty car that is prices higher than the competition, it might grab your attention. If you’re trying to sell a minivan, probably not. It doesn’t work on me, I’ve already forgotten what car the girls were trying to sell in the picture.
Childish, pathetic and stupid if they are wearing tight dress and just standing next to the car like the photo. I want numbers, facts, info, expenses and so on. I don't want a man explain it to me nor a woman.
DUMB and no wonder that women are perceived as a toys to be controlled and used for men's purposes.
If the girls want to do it and the company wants to pay them and it makes people buy cars, then nothing wrong with it.
It's kind of misleading when the girls don't come with the purchase.
Don't care. If that's how she earns her money and she happy, and protected get on with it
Manipulating lame horny men into buying something by using thirst-traps? Gotta love American capitalism.
So people can’t make decisions their own. I personally give a crap if a hot girl is posing with the car. It’s not like I get to drive her home after buying it (well maybe if it was a high end Lamborghini... joke).
But anyway why is it “capitalism’s” fault? These women voluntarily took up these jobs to get paid good money to pose for good money. Very little effort. Their choice.
Then stupid guys buy these fancy cars thinking it well help them get laid. We both know they have that kind of insecurity then they got a bigger problem to deal with. But again its their stupid choice. How did “capitalism” force them into it.
You legislate and use the government to do away work people making personal (sometimes stupid) choices with their money.
It is an effective sales tool.
Were it not, the advertising agencies would not do it.
Only the joyless authoritarian left, who hate beauty and want to micromanage how everyone else lives their lives, would have a problem with it.
I really don't like this. There are some ads that don't need any human to be in them but still they put a female. And any female who like this, she consider herself an object.
Keeps them in a job? They're being paid handsomely for it? You'd rather it was men's bodies?
What the hell are you expecting with your false moral panic?
Nothing really.
I think it's sad if you decide to buy a car just because a model is next to it though.
It's not a conscious thing it's manipulating people without their knowledge. It's like when there's a store with nobody there the chances of someone going in is low but as soon as one person goes to buy somethig other people will go in as well. I've experiened that myself where I went to a food stand where nobody was buying anything and suddenly there were people standing in line behind me. It's similar with these models it influences you without you knowing it. And the model won't get you to buy the car if you don't want it but It will probably have some percentage effect on sales or they wouldn't do it.
It doesn't do shit for me, as far as enticing me to buy the car, but hey; I'm not going to complain about it, either. 🤷♂️
Kinda stupid, but if the woman want to do it, then that's their business.
As long as your goal is to profit sex will sell so why not
I don't get what's the use. The two are irrelevant to each other.
If you're really looking for a particular vehicle. You're looking at the Vehicle and the legs are just in the way.
It is what it is. Someone is going to do it. Is it nice to look at? Sure, at times. Yes. Is it right? Selling your body? Probably not. Though thats them. Not me.
I new kind of degrading acts of women.(new kind of prostitution)
But in a more civil manner.
Who cares the companies make money and the woman make a living. Everyone wins.
They chose to it and are usually getting paid good money to nothing other than pose.
The same as I have for men's bodies mining the materials to build them.
She's making money. The auto industry is making money. The consumer should know the difference between fantasy and reality. Who's getting hurt?
no you got it all wrong, they are just putting the world's two best things in one picture, cars and women 🤷🏽♂️
Some may think it is demeaning, but you have to consider that it gives jobs to girls (especially in Asia) where people aren't so well off. And some girls like showing off their bodies.
I think it just gives companies more customers n if so then why not... we make some money along lol
It's just a hunk of metal if no girl stands beside it
Discussing disrespectful to women and disrespectful to me, as if my lust will lead me to buy their products 🙄, works on simps only
The main audience of cars are men. It's much better to look at girls than guys. Yeah, it's normal to use girls (why use?) for sales. It's psychology and nothing unnatural here.
It's pretty sad considering that most of those guys wore raised by women..
*were
I mean sex sells works which i dont understand why men (or women) are desperate to buy a car because of an attractive woman. It would not work if no man was easy desperate for sex lol.
Sad and depressing. It shows what horrible sexual power women wield over men.
Well it must work they've been doing it for decades
I guess it’s a living for them at least they’re not strippers
smart from a marketing standpoint.
It's a know fact that SEX SELLS.
Don't care
Weird. A sexy woman has never made me want to buy a product.
its still a free country, but I'm sure soon there will be a law that the women have to be black and fat
Marketing is geared to the average IQ which hovers around the mid 90's. Sex is primal and so is an average IQ... sex sells.
It's ridiculous & not needed, yet apparently in the business perspective,... sex & other important items sells.
becuse you can bend those girls over and try them out with the car. if it feels good then the car is good.
I feel like that the stuffs they selling it and people who buying it going to hell. I feel awful when they act like women are what the are buying actually. it's like so dirty.
i dont give a shit about it. i wouldn't mind if all of these women lost their jobs as models and had to do something constructive to help society be better
