It definitely has a lot of covers/renditions. Which version/singer comes to your mind first?
Have no idea who sang the song or how many versions I've heard. All I remember is,
"Get your kicks on Route 66!" Burned into my brain. So the idea of traveling parts of the old route, which are still marked "Historic Route 66" sounds like a kick.

Yes, I think I do. I am not sure who was the guy that sung it. I was more a fan of the TV show which recently showed up on one of the rerun channels.
