Would you rather live without air-conditioning or without heat?

There's always things you can do to warm up. Exercise, more layers of clothing, blankets, etc.

Cooling down is harder. I don't have air-conditioning at home - which being Africa can be a bit warm sometimes. I use fans to circulate the air and on a really hot day I put a fan on high and wet down my shirt to cool off.

If I actually had both a stable electricity supply and access to either Aircon or electrical heating I'd prefer the Aircon. Houses here don't have radiators or underfloor heating systems as standard but most have a fireplace. In winter I have a fire most nights. Wood is cheaper than electric heating.

I lived in an apartment without both for years. I can do fine without either one, but I REALLY like Air Conditioning. When it gets cold, I can just buy a $30 electric heater, if I'm living in a place with such poor insulation, I can see the wind blowing indoors. But when it's 95-110 degrees F and I'm sweating my ass off trying to get to sleep? Nah. I need AC then. I can't sleep when it's even remotely warm. I sometimes end up using my fan into late November because it needs to be like 50-55 F in order for me to sleep well. I can live without an indoor heating system.

Oh goodness me, I could never imagine myself sleeping without an air conditioner. It gets terribly hot here in the summers, and winters are just about pleasant. Nothing too cold. I would much rather prefer to live without the heat

Without heat because you can layer with clothing. And AC it gets hot anyway.

We don't really have air conditioning in the UK, except in supermarkets and a few other public places. But with the summers getting hotter I certainly wouldn't say no to it. Not sure I could do without hot water for things like doing washing up, spin washing clothes, etc. I don't mind cold showers.

Without AC easily! I can easily take off clothes and run fans. No space heater, no furnace, no oven? I would freeze my ass off! Winters where I live don't fuck around..

Without heat. I can cover myself in blankets during winter but during summer, there's a limit to how naked I can be.
