For those that saw the film, "GLADIATOR", are you familiar with the wonderful woman (Lisa Gerrard) that sang the haunting theme, "Now we are free"?

I have seen the film many times and have always wondered why Russell Crowe has never played in any other such wonderful productions. Lisa Gerrard is an Australian, vocalist with a wonderful vocal range, unlike many other singers, and the melody she sang, was unlike anything I have ever heard. The lyrics are not in any language on this planet, as she explained she made up the language, on her own, and that is 'how she speaks to God". If you have listened to the lyrics and appreciate music, I feel you will agree that "Now we are Free" is a haunting and unforgettable piece of music.

  yes, but the theme plays through the film, with portions of it

  Yeah I didn't care for that song. She may have a good voice but I didn't care for the song.

  WELL, IT'S NOT A 'SONG' PER SE, BUT JUST A THEME THAT RUNS THROUGH THE FILM. EVERYONE HAS DIFFERENT LIKES AND DISLIKES. THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE
