I used to like Stephen Colbert and Bill Maher, back when they were actually funny. And you know... Back when being a Liberal meant you were AGAINST fascism and big government and FOR freedom, not the fascists cozying up to the government themselves. Nowadays, Colbert and Maher are insufferable jag-offs. And Eminem went woke during the Trump era, too. 2010 was a simpler time.
Same, somewhat. But I got so goddamn sick of their shows and how they paint this image of Conservatives as either being some super rich old stodgy White guys with grey hair or it’s some Confederate flag waving guy named Bubba who raises hogs in Mississippi.
Just this constant sneering at the South, at the Midwest, the incessant insults about Christians (while always avoiding any jokes about Muslims or Jews). It’s fucking disgusting man. I mean I just don’t get along with most Lefties anymore but I don’t go around joking about California and NYC and all the hippies in Seattle or Portland. I mean if they want to live there, fuck it, what do I care. I hope they are happy there. Really, I do. 🤷♂️
“Oh yeah! Well you’re just a racist Trumptard!”
Whatever... 🙄🤦♂️

Willard Caroll Smith II (Will Smith).. I used to respect him much more than I do now.. Now, with his ego putting him in mostly bad movies per the past decade, and the stuff that happened with his "wife".. Nah.. I would still watch him in a good movie though.. He is one of the few actors in my opinion, who can bring an okay movie up to being pretty watchable..

Probably The Game
I use to be a big fan in middle school although in that Era I was at school with Crips & GD so bumping Game can only be done at home lol but he had some cool music and he was a cool lyricist he destroyed 50 cent & G Unit as a whole lyrically.
I ignored a lot of bad stuff about him for along time but when Nipsey Hussle died he went out crying around in LA blaming the streets n everyone. Even got Nipsey tatted on him then he got exposed that years ago he brought Nipsey on tour & got jealous and kicked him off almost made Nipsey quit rapping. I always wondered why him and Nip had a like 2 songs. And that ain't the first time either Fame tries to benefit off others deaths to sale albums and get attention. Not to even mention how he treated Nipsey during the Meek Mill beef.
Their was another dude who rapped with Ken Malik named Young Frogg they're both from Games Hood. Game never once shouted them out never but once Frog dies. Game stayed ultra quiet until a year or two later he drops the documentary 2 and he has a song with little Wayne on it called "From Adam" where he makes a whole song about Frogg and who killed his homie Frogg. How he's so upset about it? But didn't make no post about him didn't say shit until a album dropped years later lol and guess who Ken Malik was signed too, Nipsey which shows you Game never gave none of them shout outs.
After that I quit bumping Game and his new music dude super sheisty.
It's funny because my family things I went liberal because of Bill Maher. Been liberal for ages. I started watching Bill Maher because of his long rants against politically-correct stuff, especially religion. Now he's maybe 30% hit and 70% miss. Gives more of a "old man yells at cloud" vibe.
I don't think Colbert was built for a nightly show. During the Trump era he became very one-note and much less clever.
But really, I kinda just don't like most music celebrities, or are apathetic to them. I can't stand celebrity gossip. A lot of times I don't know who sings my favorite song and only care enough to find more similar music. I couldn't give the slightest iota of a shit that they are dating such and such but cheated on such and such who is the baby momma of such and such. It's just basic trash gossip and if a conversation goes there I'll just space off and think about something actually worthwhile.
Like want to talk about composition of music by Queen or Hans Zimmer or something? Awesome. Want to talk about "Kanye being a genius", I'm completely out. It's just wishful thinking. Might as well be listening to a Trump supporter talk about how "Trump actually cares about me" or something.
Only reason I followed the Depp/Heard case is because it was a clear case of DV against a man, and I had my magnifying glass out to see how people would react to it, watching it reveal their true nature. And then just kinda purged anyone who would say stuff like "Don't let this convince you that men are abused, too. Or that women can be abusers. Or that women can lie about anything." Nope. Boom. Gone. I like to keep the company of people who would actually have my back if a girlfriend was beating me.
I'm loving the outpouring of love for Brenden Fraser though.
im going to address the eminem pic above, i find him so hypocritical and sickening at this point, he went from wanting to kill his ex wife literally rapping about it, making sexual jokes in raps about other female artists, to now somehow be apart of the woke generation? i find him to be such a hypocrite and a sad old botoxed white man, i dont even so much as listen to his music anymore. to me he is an absolute joke that can't hold water, shows me it was all fake from the start. the only person in hollyweird i have any sort of respect for is keanu reeves. he has his own cancer charity, does tons of things the public rarely gets to see, he's not over the top and genuinely appreciates everything, he's very humble.
No, I don't know these celebrities on a personal level I believe that everything we see of them on screen is an illusion We'll never really know what they do behind closed doors so all I do is admire their work and talents but I'm never going to form ideas on them because I do not know them behind closed doors they could be sacrificing babies or running an underground human trafficking scheme or smuggling drugs...
Lmao I was thinking about Demi Lovato first hahaha
I never really liked her much or bought her stuff or anything but like I used to think "okay, she went through something and her voice and some songs are nice" to "she crazy!!! Stay away" LolNope. I kind of never put my thoughts on anything within a celebrity or a famous person because they live in a different world than normal people. They will always virtue signal to normal people to boost their numbers/ popularity. I learned that a young age so I just look at them as entertainment specialist such as an athlete, musician, actor/ actress. I value them for the skills in their fields, that’s it.
I'm not a heavy media follower, so I tend to believe that whoever you see on the screen is actually acting.
my husband and I are both set scene of Chevy chases changed over time. As far as other individuals in the media/movie world, I think they just play the role they're expected to. Most folks are too afraid to put their views out for the public eye, they're just like politicians, they cater to a particular audience.Always liked Denzel Washington & I respected him even more when he told off a reporter for asking him about his politics saying it doesn’t matter and is none if her business
Actors need to stfu regarding their politics & ideals they’re so unhinged from reality.
I used to like Ashnikko, but I think that was just a phase lmao

Will Smith and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
And I used to be a Pope Francis fanatic. Now, I resist him very ardently.
I am not sure, but I don't have high expectations from celebrities, as they tend to be liberals.
Robert DeNiro and James Taylor. I can't stand to look at DeNiro. If he is in a movie I won't watch it.
No. There are very few that I genuinely respect in the first place, and none of them has given me a reason to change my mind thus far.
definitely agree on stephen colbert he sucks now, i thought ludacris used to be great he sucks now tho
I used to like Obama until I found out he was murdering people with drones.
