Is it a time constraint, a patience constraint, or some other constraint that's stopping you from pursuing it?
For me, it's playing a string instrument, and I just don't feel like I have the time or coordination to do so.

I have several, Emilia. You are near and dear to my heart for your love of music, and I wish you all the best in playing whatever string instrument you want to play.
My living room looks like a recording studio, with an 88 key Alesis keyboard in one end, and my violin, and music stand in the other. I have been taking violin for a year as of September, and, as you know, violin is a very difficult instrument to play. In addition, I decided to add PIANO to my lesson plan, and bought the keyboard.
My GOAL is to be able to play Franze Shubert's version of Ave Maria, BOTH the piano accompaniment, and the Violin "Melody', and when I can accompany my instructor on the piano playing that beautiful piece with her on her Viola, I will feel that is worthwhile goal.
I am also an Open Water diver as of September 2014, and love the sport, but after losing my Dive Buddy to Cancer, before, that really killed my enthusiasm, but diving is another skill that I love and hope to get back to it soon.
You will find the heart and courage to "jump back in", a moment will pass and it will clickš.
A new diving buddy is waiting, and your friend will smile down upon you!
Carpentry and handiwork. I wish I could fix anything and everything. I never had a dad or adult male to teach me that though, and I grew up dirt poor, so didn't own much that needed fixing, anyway. And when I moved out on my own, I lived in apartments and wasn't allowed to fix certain things in there, and we had to call the apartment repair person, instead of fixing them ourselves, even though one of my roommates was an actual carpenter.
There were SOME things that I learned how to fix on my own, though. Bought my own drill and tool kit, too. I've put together my own chairs, desks, and furniture before. But there's only so much you can do, on your own. I can't handle my own plumbing or electricity. Even though I wish I had those skills. And right now, I also live in an apartment, a brand new one who's building just opened in April, so I couldn't fix anything on my own here, either. How would an adult even learn those skills, on his own, without going to trade school?
Congratulations to you for taking the initiative to learn new skills. My father taught me all the necessary skills I needed throughout life. So, you are correct, trade school. You should take a carpentry course since you have fantastic skills at building wood furniture. Carpenter's in Canada make about $120,000 00 per year. My nephew is a red seal carpenter. He makes close to $200. Thousands dollars...
Trade school is definitely a must for electrical and plumbing. Carpentry doesn't necessarily need trade school unless you are looking to switch careers. We have two close friends who craft very high end wood furniture etc. Thry simply have the time to dedicate to learning joinery and finishing.
A trained carpenter can transform a home from basic to show homeš
Playing the piano by reading music. Iāve only been able to play certain songs by memorization rather than playing the notes while sight reading.
Learning to read and eventually compose music sounds very worthwhile! You can do it š
No music for me, Iāve already accomplished that one lol.
I wish I could draw and paint.

similar to yours... playing an instrument and specifically, the drums
I did try it with friends, and also with the couple of bands I used to gig with, but I never really had the actual chance to really get into (timewise) at the time
and nowadays... I really do not want to annoy all the people around me, and certainly not my cats... lmao
Either instrument or learning new languages. Both are very time consuming and frustrating when you don't feel like you're improving.
Learning a new language! what a great idea in today's world.
In a global world with easy travel and connecting with people over internet it's very handy to be able to communicate in a few different languages.
I wish it wouldn't take me so long to read a book. For me, it's a combination of time constraints and also, though to a lesser degree than in years past, being surrounded and distracted by all sorts of technology and stuff like that.
I wish I had the skill of making good decisions..
Learn from the bad ones and you will be just fine :-)
My buddies have been trying to get me to get my HAM radio license for years now. Between having little kids, one with special needs, and trying to finish grad school I donāt have a whole lot of time for much else.
I wish I could play violin well. I was in orchestra, but fell behind quickly and dropped out after a year. The violin is so beautiful and sexy but I can only play it rough and basic.
I would like to play tenor sax and electric bass. I currently play piano, drums, and sing. I;m just too busy with oher things in my life now.
I wish I could play guitar. When i was unemployed I was shopping for a guitar but now that I am working again I will probably wait until I retire.
I wish I was able to feel out how to play musical instruments. They just make sense to some people. I am not of those people lol
You have to feel the vibe of the music. Then it will "click"
@fantasticass can you go into further detail about what you mean by that? How do you recommend I go about that?
Singing! I LOVE to sing, but I'm off key. I wish I had a beautiful singing voice.
Computer āhackingā. Iād smurf some fools up all day every day!
Artistry. I can conjure up so many beautiful images in my head but I just don't know how to put them on paper T_T
Singing... People who can sing are so lucky... Such a cool and fun talent
