Paranormal. Because they are unprovable they are still possible. I like that additional fear factor.

Slasher films are the scariest because of the realism. Paranormal is a close second.

But I've been watching these type of films since I was a child so I feel like I've become desensitised to all horror films. I watch horror films for the enjoyment of it rather than to get scared.

I like scary movies where there is a sudden plot twist.

For example... attractive woman is getting dressed and looks in the full length mirror. Suddenly, a hand jumps out of the mirror and grabs her by the throat, and a guttural voice yells, "You are mine!"

I like watching reaction videos on YouTube and just watched a girl who is a self-professed wimp watch the exorcist. I could tell she was scared out of her mind. She kept covering her face and saying "I hate this. I hate this. I hate this."

Slashers are my favorite. The paranormal ones have good jump scares but the slasher movies I find more entertaining.

Paranormal, ghost spooky faces, furniture doing stuff and with those movies it's just full of jumpscares. But I enjoy the Monster movies more.
