difficult one, but then... not so

I would save photography, and only because it is more about capturing us and our world as it is... memories can be much more valuable and meaningful at times

as for the other, they often can drive onto the surreal, maybe they're more creative yes, but even if we lost them all, we won't lose our creativity and we can always dream again

Just a thought provoking, fantastic question! At first glance, Rorschach-like, the decision is easy. But then it becomes successively harder and harder. I wavered after reading @AviatorTom response but then went with my original gut instinct and preference of literature.

Interesting. I don't usually like hypotheticals much but this shows where your head is at and I like it.

I wavered between architecture and literature; went with literature. It seemed more of a loss. Books don't just write themselves. Often that inspiration is extremely ephemeral. Bricks and stone we can mine again.

As always, @AmandaYVR is right! And, that's where this question got me, though. If forced to choose my thinking was that the literature would be both harder to replace and more of a loss. I started thinking just laser scan it all and take pictures but if we had to choose, and that's where this question started to lead my down a twisted path. If I can't save the photography, how can I save the architecture. Darn it! So I chose the books. I can't curl up in an armchair on a rainy day with a statue or a building. @letuswaltzforthedead - seriously good question that is way beyond your years in its complexity and where it could go for discussion. Well done!

Literature seems to be the most important one on this list. Paintings, Statues, Architecture, Photography, and could all be replaced by drawings, sculptures, and videos.

That would be hard, but probably keep literature, because it is not only important as an art, but we would regress to caveman in some years without it.

Having a home without architecture would be quite horrible as well.
