Do you think celebrities “owe” their fans?

Celebrities often get harassed by entitled fans and paparazzi. It can be difficult to have sympathy or empathy for someone who is rich, good looking and otherwise privileged by fame. But do they owe fans more than their performances and products? Is it asking too much for some personal space?

Yeah I do because no fans mean no money. I'm not a fan of any celebrity myself. Like I might respect Henry Cavil's work as an actor but I'm not going to listen to his political opinion, but his clothes. If I saw him on a plane I might gave him a nod but that's it. Its the same with Babe Emilia Clarke, I think she's cute and very fuckable and seems like a nice person but that's it. As for being harassed by paparazzi that is usually set up by celebrities themselves with their PR team. They tell them exactly where they are going and what they are doing and tell them all about their personal lives and personal dramas.

When you see a celebrity greeting fans and signing autographs they do that because they are grateful to their fans because they know that without them they wouldn't be where they are and because its in their own personal best intrests as it helps their own careers.

Listen, if someone like Margot Robie or Tom Cruise wants to give back all the money for movie tickets and gate receipts that they’ve received from the fans that make them millionaires many times over and go back to a life of quiet anonymity they can. The point being is they use the public and their fans to further their career and financial status. In fact it is dependent on it. So yes they do owe their fans some semblance of courtesy when they’re in public. Notice I said a semblance of courtesy. These people are entitled to privacy but their public figures according to the law. That’s a big difference.

Celebrities have to struggle constantly to maintain their fame, as one wrong move could ruin their career. So in order to maintain the image that their fans love, they have to devote lots of time to their careers, and they can't waste much time taking it easy enjoying life with friends, whether it be friends made after or before their fame.
