but another movie I think is overrated is The Shining. I know it’s supposed to be a classic horror film but I’ve tried to watch it several times and I can’t get through it. It’s so damn boring

Frozen, I guess. But never saw it. Cause putting Frozen next to actual important stories like Shawshank seems just wrong.

I'd put Titanic as #2 on overrated. Visually they did an amazing job on the ship (my dad's a carpenter/woodworker/builder and he actually went to the theatre twice to see it all again, wow), but it was a bit cliche for me, the whole thing. I'm not a James Cameron fan at all.

I haven't watched fight club or gladiator but i didn't think gladiator got a lot of hype tbh - i still went for frozen as the most overrated because it definitely was - i'm so glad no one went for shawshank because that film is AMAZING

Frozen. It was cute, but not worth a second watch for me. Of the live action, I found Titanic really overrated. Fight Club, Gladiator, and Gump were worth multiple watches. Shawshank and the LOTR Trilogy are among my favorites and I've watched each at least ten times.
