I actually do writing as a hobby and a large portion of my love of story telling can be traced back to Batman: The Animated Series. A damn fine show with damn fine voice acting. When it comes to playing Batman: Adam West, Michael Keaton, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, Robert Pattinson (et all), amazing Batman actors one and all. But Mr. Conroy? He crushed them all, he was just THAT good. Damn shame to hear about this news.
On an ending note, I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin Conroy at a comic-con years ago and he couldn't have been a nicer guy.
I don’t care that he died.
He’s Lucky to have died some people Are In the worst of circumstances being abused Living in other countries where There is no Food no clean drinking Water starving not having meat on bones and they don’t get to die they don’t get that Benefit of Dying They get to suffer on a daily basis because those in Power are evil
Dying is a Gift.
It is sad he passed way
We will follow him soon so kinda bad to say we don’t care. A soul who invests into this earthling - lie system it wasn’t bad. At least he did his best and he was the best in what he did.
That's Logans statement not Batman's your last line
@cryscrys1 your evil You say it was sad that he died No It wasn’t he was in severe pain from the cancer and now he’s not clearly a Gift he’s dead and no longer in pain your one of those people that would want a family member to live With constant physical pain than have them die and not be in pain that is completely selfish and psychopathic to want someone to live in pain all because you Don’t want to lose the benefits they give you you’d rather have them suffer and live.
Just another sweet legend who's doing what he loves up there now. <3

It came as a shock. But seeing what it was that killed him, I was surprised it took this long.
What hurt worse was JDF suddenly dying. I actually interacted with him on Instagram. I don't recall ever interacting with Kevin on anything.
When I found out how greedy JDF's wife was, and that he died after she filed for divorce, after basically turning into Amanda DeSanta on him, and when he couldn't handle her constantly fighting with him, and ready to steal everything out from under him... I really lost a lot of respect for her.
The man who pretended on camera like he could near-flawlessly defend the world from whole armies of evil aliens, mutants, clones, and robots, was ultimately done in because he couldn't handle his own crazy wife, and allegedly took the "easy" way out.
That one actually hurt. That she accused him of cheating, though we have no evidence of that claim, only twists the knife even further! What if he did? Her demanding "privacy" now, after having no problem with TMZ publishing dirt on their disintegrating marriage and dirty laundry mere hours before that, only makes me not trust her that much more.
Worse, his one daughter was corrupted by the screwl system into believing the demonic deception that she was born in the wrong body. She demanded he affirm this stance; but he refused to believe it. He knew better, from plain common sense alone, to say nothing of where he stood on being allegedly Christian.
Worse yet, those devils convinced his daughter that if she couldn't convince him to affirm of their lies, that her life wasn't worth living. She committed suicide.
Combine that with how diabolical Newsom's tyranny has proven to be, and how helpless JDF felt during that, only for his second wife to betray him after the previous wife had already betrayed him and cleaned him out once before, and it's safe to say his mental health was in the toilet, to say the least! The man just couldn't win!
JDF flat-out didn't know how to choose women particularly well. Neither did Kevin, which is probably why he went gay. But compared to all the betrayals JDF had to endure throughout his life, Kevin had it easy.
One phrase uttered by the villain Rupert Thorne in B:TAS summarized our old Hollywood childhood heroes best: "The brighter the picture, the darker the negative."
What we saw on camera made us want to be the best of ourselves. But these same icons worked tirelessly to cover up a side to their lives that brought them significant shame, and ultimately killed them. In the end, the truth came out.
When heroes fall, those who looked up to them are challenged: have you learned to be better? In time, all claims must be tested.
I was really bummed when I heard the news... I loved the Batman animated series when I was a kid, loved the Arkham games, and any time I read or thought about Batman, Kevin's was the voice I heard in my head. Always will be. And this is going to sound nerdy and pathetic, I'm sure, but Batman was my moral foundation as a kid. In the same way people read bible stories to form their idea of morals, I read Batman to form mine. And that interest and admiration would never have happened without the brilliant acting of Kevin Conroy. I just hope he didn't suffer. He deserved a better death than cancer. By all accounts he was a really good dude.
I still can't believe it, and even more so what upsets me is the cause. To find out that it was cancer that did it, it seems like many major celebrities are suddenly dying due to cancer. It makes me worried and concerned to a small degree about other iconic voice actors who may suddenly die as well. For Kevin Conroy, who in my opinion is the one who set the staple for Batman growing up as a kid it really hit me and makes me feel sad to think we won't ever hear him again.
He will be missed. Spent a lot of time watching his versions of the Batman.
I never knew the man. It's sad when someone dies, but we must remember... it will happen to us someday.
SAD! RIP Kevin! You hit so many people, myself included.
I liked some of the DC animated features, maybe more than the movies. I particularly like the Batman ones. He will be a hard act to follow.
Can't imagine Batman The Animated Series without Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne/Batman. He bough the character to life and was the Batman of my generation, sorry Michael Keaton.
Best batman in my opinion by a mile, sad to see him go.
Shocked and saddened. Probably the most saddened of any entertainment industry member's death. There will be a few more I'll be saddened by, but the voice of Batman is a loss for us all.
He will live on in our hearts. :)
People die voice change and the show must go own
He's a beta cuck.
Never heard of him until this very moment.
Never heard of him until today.
Sad 😢…
Damn; that sucks.
