Why do youtubers make themselves as stars?

To be honesty, I have never heard that youtuber live near me but I see another youtuber who live as rock roll to not good.

They never watch each other than join in their youtuber's wedding.

Now appear to my youtube suggestion. To be honesty I am afraid ot them to bother me.

I think I am afraid of them because they have to roll you into the camera with them too. Especially bad reputation.

My personal opinion? We are in a new world where “stars” no longer have the platform or influence they once did, propped up by the entertainment media.

Anyone can gain a following from their own home now, with their own devices, tools, and technology… in a way, we are all the stars now, we just have to tap into our best, most marketable selves, and that’s likely why these YouTubers come across this way, they’ve built a brand and they’ve embodied it.

A lot of people make themselves out to be more than they actually are. It's called the ego. Add money and people who listen and there you have it. Never heard a random kid say "You have no idea who my dad is!"? Same thing.
As for being afraid, just act in a respectable way and it does not matter if you are misconstrued, because you know you have acted properly.

Because they’re not. But I can’t blame them. Renting a seat on a private jet for 5 minutes to take a selfie gains them enough likes to keep going.
