Why are some animated characters attractive?

What's the point behind this. If we like the game or show, the attractiveness of the characters doesn't affect it.

I agree with you that we'd still like the game, but attractive characters make it better. Same sort of thing as paint on a car. If I have a really nice car, it's just better that it's painted [fill in the blank color] than matt brown with scratches. Or a steak on a really nice plate versus a soggy paper plate.

Take Daphne from Scoobie Doo, for instance. She has aspirations to become a detective, in spite of the fact that she's beautiful enough to be a supermodel. This makes her a more interesting character, doesn't it?

In fact, she resigns from detective and becomes a freelancer prostitute in the following episodes, but they didn't broadcast this episode so that we always remember her as a good girl.

I think Eric, Flynn, and Aladdin are hot for cartoons. But i never fantasized about screwing em. Now i have met guys who look like them in real life... thats where the fantasy comes into play 😂

They don't have to be ugly. For example, I like Baccano. None of the characters are what I'd call attractive. I still like the show so much that I bought the DVD for it.
