Any tips for playing barre chords if you have small hands?

I play the guitar and have small hands. It hasn't been that much harder for me overall, though it can be tricky reaching across the fretboard sometimes. I've always avoided barre chords whenever I could because especially on an acoustic guitar, they are a nightmare!

I have nothing to offer, kind lady. I can play the heaviest bass handbells, but not guitar and other chords.

There's really no cheat for that. Get a guitar with a neck shape that suits your small hands. They come in many different varieties.

Use a capo. Another trick hold the fretboard slightly up at an angle
