How does someone who is not a real judge able to judge someone on a TV show?

How is this even legal? At least Judge Judy was a real judge, but Chrissy Teigen? Sounds from previews, it is not a show I would watch. How about you?

I did not know this was a thing. And I've seen this person before, but don't really know what they do.

In other words, they're mostly fake. The decisions are just legally binding by a contract both parties agree to beforehand. Therefore anyone can be an arbitrator. You just usually would want someone with actual legal experience to judge you, instead of some random washed-up supermodel.

I agree, but most women supermodels are pretty ugly. The only thing they have in common is being tall and thin, and she wasn't even thin in her prime (not that that's a bad thing.)
