My grandfather was exactly like that except funny rather than macho. He was in WW2 and saw some shit. He never talked about it. He always gave very short but extremely witty responses to absolutely anything you asked. It was impossible to have a conversation with him.

No, I've been watching that stupid Netflix series, Arrow. The main character makes me sick. But so do the dark versions of Batman, Superman and every other "powerful" action hero and villain. The growling, whispery voice has become standard.

Certain people like Lliam Neeson only have jobs because they can whisper all the time.

CW Arrow? (I’m a cable person) If so, i cannot stand stephen ammell as arrow). I prefer Justin Hartley in the role on Smallville. I was soooo happy when Amells died but now they’re trying to bring him back in this final season of the Flash. His character is so fckin rude lmao. The Smallville version was light hearted.
