Halt and Catch Fire (my favorite show of all time )
It's the early 1980s, and the spirit of innovation in personal computing is about to catch fire. Hot on the trail is a renegade trio -- a visionary, an engineer and a prodigy -- who risk everything to realize their vision of building a computer that can change the future. Not long after IBM corners the market with its flagship PC, a flaw is discovered in its operation, opening the door for competition. In steps Joe MacMillan, a former IBM executive who now works for Cardiff Electric. MacMillan plans to reverse-engineer IBM's technology, putting Cardiff in the thick of the personal computer race. He enlists the help of engineer Gordon Clark, who dreams of creating a revolutionary computer, and Cameron Howe, a volatile prodigy who puts her future on the line to join MacMillan's rogue project.
I've watched it 5 or 6 times!! With things like this, I always notice new things... But this is one is the most influential programmes I've ever watched... If we're not careful, I fear this is what the world may become, if we let it.
@exitseven I only saw parts of about 3 episodes when it first aired and never saw it again until I found a local video store in the early `90's that had the whole series on VHS so, I rented it and copied it to VHS. About 15 years later, I found a set on DVD on eBay and bought it. Then, I bought the entire Danger Man collection to go with it.
It was on one of the rerun channels last year. I have a few episodes on my DVR. I have the first episode and the last two when he escaped. There has never been another series like it. There was a remake a few years back and it sucked.
Breaking Bad: its probably THE best television show ever. once you pass season 1 it just gets better and better. watch this show!
Twin Peaks: its this weird scary tv show that really changed the way television is made. its about this teenager who gets murdered and is a kind of who done it mystery show with a lot of style to it.
Star Trek TNG: this is a fantastic sci fi show that shows us a utopian vision of the future rather than a dystopian one. its refreshing and has a lot of great morals to its episodes. the ones starring Data in particular are quite fascinating to ponder.
Game of thrones: harsh medieval fantasy that really gets at the heart of what a medieval society might have been like... but also has dragons lol
six feet under: about this family who run this mortuary in los angeles and is a very touching show that explores the theme of death rather well. probably has the best series finale i've ever seen.
Being a surrogate should be a choice, not forced. Plus making women like dogs in puppy mills is disgusting. I couldn't watch it. I gave movie horrible review and asked for money back. I got it too.
Just a good story line especially with Kevin Costner. The came out with 1923 and then 1883 which takes us back to Texas withe the Dutton family heading to Montana.
