With the above in mind, “What is the most iconic ‘signature song’?”

A - “Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd (1973)

B - “Hotel California" by Eagles (1977)

C - “My Way" by Frank Sinatra (1969)

D - “Piano Man" by Billy Joel (1973)

E - “Rock and Roll All Nite" by Kiss (1975)

F - “Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin (1971)

G - Some other song

I think “Free Bird” & “Hotel California" are the #1 & 2 (respectively) most iconic “signature songs” and I’m surprised no one wrote an opinion identifying “Hotel California.”

I was inclined towards Piano Man by Billy Joel, but had, in the end, to select 'G' "Some other song." I chose The Gambler by Kenny Rogers.

I think that both artists have several songs that could be iconic or signature but in the end The Gambler and Kenny were in my heart.

They use Freebird a lot in movies so probably that

Stairway or Freebird even though I think they are both overrated songs in those band's catalogs. Both bands made far better songs than those two.
