There was a Capcom sale for Xbox, and I figured I would purchase some of the new Resident Evil games. I have never played them before, but I know the most recently remakes have had very positive views.
Would it be considered wrong if I started out with Resident Evil 2 remake, having never played any other before? I just don't feel like trudging through the difficulty and wonky classic playing style of Resident Evil 1 Remake.

Yes, yes it is. Better than starting at 4, where I started. But you can get most of the remade games on steam for pretty cheap. And RE0 is pretty dated but Rebecca Chambers is just gods damned adorable… just ask Wesker’s desk.
That's awesome you know about RE0
@PointTaken Is RE0 an obscure game in the series? I got it on steam a few years ago for like $5.
RE0 is definitely one of the more overlooked entries, sane with code Veronica. Im hoping for a code Veronica remake next once RE4 is done.
@Still-alive RE4 was the first one I played, on the Wii. So yeah, I already preordered the remake and am hoping to be working from home so I can install in while I’m on the clock next week.
yeah its okk but you might be confused with some of the story parts. whenever they mention the 'mansion incident' they are referring to the first game
Alright! That makes sense. I bought most of the first ones since they were really cheap, and the Resident Evil 4 remake looked great.
Just really wanted to play Resident Evil 2 remake first due to all the positive hype its gotten over the years... Just didn't know if I would end up missing out a lot? Perhaps I could play the RE2 remake first, and then move onto playing Resident Evil 1 and 0? (they came as a bundle), and then move onto the RE3 remake, and RE4 remake?
