For those who have Resident Evil 1 Remake, If I killed the Crimson Head Prototype first BEFORE picking up the Book of Curse, am I screwed?

I did just that on my PS4 downloaded version and now, I have no way of picking up the Book of Curse because of the coffin in the way. Boy did I f*ck up... or is there another possible way for me to get it?

U mean u put the masks in and then killed the boss, but u never got the book? U must have already picked the book up, cuz it contains the Sword key; u need it to get the masks in the first place. Are u sure u're looking for the correct item? There should be an item in the coffin that can be used – have u tried doing anything with it?

I've already checked the coffin again and nothing's there. I went to go check up on my item box and it's not there either.

But the coffin is lying on the floor and it's empty? That's weird...

The item that should have been there is called a "Stone & Metal Object". It should look like this:

If u didn't find it in ur item box, the only other place it could be is in the main hall. If u go behind the stairs there's a door that has two indentations – I think it's possible to put it there by mistake at this point in the game. Where u actually wanna use it is in a small outdoor area (if u check ur map, there should be a locked door on the 1st floor on the upper part of the map). The thing where u should put it says something like "The defiler of the accursed coffin".

However, if u're sure u didn't pick anything like that up, I recommend checking the coffin again thoroughly. I think most players find that item in conjunction with the switch that's in the coffin (that u need to press in order to get out of the room where u fought the boss). Do u remember pressing that switch?

Oh wait, never mind, I've had the sword key already, I just never remembered picking up the book of curse, ending up forgetting about it because I already discarded the book of curse. lol

I'm already on the Residence Map. Now I'm trying to figure out what to do with the Acid bottles that I found in the Gallery Room.

Chris won't have a lot of choice here – it's probably the shotgun.
If u're Jill, u can try to use incendiary grenade rounds – they're super effective vs. the plant...​!

Get yourself resident evil 4, shit was good and I think the best so far. Haven't played 5 and 6 though.
