Well, yes. Someone my age-ish would know Gordon Lightfoot's work and appreciate his songs.

My favorite is "Sundown" which, ironically, I was singing to myself yesterday while with my dogs.

Yes. My mom was a huge fan. He was a great lyricist, great vocalist with the perfect voice for his music, and a halfway decent rhythm guitarist, especially on the 12 string.

He cancelled his tour due to health reasons just before he died. He performed right to the end.

I was channel surfing late one night and I saw this old guy on TV that sounded a lot like Gordon Lightfoot. Then I realized it was him. I heard he had an abdominal aneurysm and was in a coma for 3 months. He really had a few health issues but continued to tour.
