A lot of my progressive rock friends who are YES fans did not like the "Talk" album, but I did. The original guitarist, Steve Howe, and drummer, Bill Bruford, were not on it. Instead they had Trevor Rabin and Alan White, but the purists were not happy as the style had changed. I liked it a lot though.

I don't know if "unpopular" is the right adjective, but "underappreciated" definitely is for Ratt's 1986 album "Dancing Undercover".

Every song on the album is rather good and most albums cannot make such claims.- u
Metallica's St. Anger had some good songs on it.
And though the production quality wasn't that great on their Death Magnetic album, it was still a good effort.
Not an unpopular album, no. I do have an unpopular opinion I could share though. Having practiced kickboxing 🥊 I think that girls should be allowed to spar and compete against guys, and to compensate for a guy’s natural physical advantages, the guy should be refused groin protection, and the girl should be allowed to kick the guy in the groin to win. I’m sure this opinion would be very unpopular amongst most guys 😂 but many girls may likely agree.
I am sure I have, need to rack my brain for this
