Anybody else excited for the Barbie movie?

At first I wasn't excited for it but after seeing the official trailer, I'm pumped to see it. I remember playing with my Barbie all the time when I was a kid and I feel it's definitely going to bring nostalgia.

My hope is that they play Barbie Girl by Aqua. It would just make the movie complete for me if they did that.

When i heard about it a year or two ago, yes. I even thought Margot looked the part. I found out Ryan was ken and said hell no. Then i saw the commercial on tv this week and it looks horrible. And why tf is Margot still talking like Harley Quinn with that accent. Tyra Banks in “Life Size” and Nicole in “Stepford Wives” were more convincing barbies then the horrible shit thats about to come out

The trailer almost ruined my childhood. And i like Nicki the Harajuku Barbie Minaj but not the cover of Aquas song that she’ll be doing since they dont have rights to the actual song. Seriously, i’ll just wait for that film to air on tv and i’ll keep watching the animated films instead

Damn. That was going to be the highlight of the movie for me to hear that song in it. I also remember watching Life Size and Stepford Wives as a kid which are both good movies but I have a really good feeling about this movie after seeing the official trailer. I was the opposite. I wasn't pumped about it at first especially seeing Ryan as Ken but I've warmed up to it now and looking forward to seeing it despite Margot Robbie having Harley Quinns voice still lol. 🤷‍♀️

I actually am really excited for it! I think/hope it will empower girls and show that brains and beauty can go hand in hand and that girls CAN be anything they want! Independent, strong, smart, and still be girly. I hope it’s a great movie.

I think it’ll be tv movie good at best. And i think chris hemsworth, cam gigandet, alex pettyfer, chris pine or anyone else mightve been a better ken. But at least it wasn't zac efron thank goodness

I think a younger Ryan wouldve been perfect. But ryan looks old now plus he's not tall enough to be ken and thatbplatinum blonde looks bad on him. He shouldve remained dirty blonde like my ken dolls i had as a kid. See young ryan wouldve been better

You're definitely right on that. A young Ryan would have looked so much better but I still think he was just the wrong choice for Ken. He's not tall enough and the hair color is just God awful like you said but Chris Pine or Chris Hemsworth... definitely top choices for that role! But I'll still watch it despite that because I believe Margot is going to kill it and outshine him anyways.

Its a wonderful piece of marketing yet again , I will give them that , sadly just another piece of crunded out crp , pretty tough to be excited somehow by it , if you are somehow excited you will certainly be dissapointed.

But , I love useless marketing , so good luck to em at the box office , it will quickly be sent to the dark , deep , depths of black sadly , utter rubbish.

up until long ago when the casting got announced, nope. And when I watched the trailer, because I'm not a heartless monster, I was equally let down by the lack of "Aqua fun" and instead, same old same old basic story, sad face vibes 😔😔 I'm not a Margot fan.
