Also, if you happen to play an instrment, please tell us your favorite one and why?
Electronic keyboards are freaking amazing. They are so versatile. I particularly love the sounds of a Hammond organ. John Lord with Deep Purple is an example of that. And Rick Wakeman with Yes is an example of unbelievable keyboard versatility.
But I have to say that I'm an electric guitar fan. Not just electric guitar, but electric guitar with effects. Jimi Hendrix was/is my idol.
I wanted to learn guitar when the Beatles first hit the U. S. I started taking some lessons when I was around 11 or 12. When I was 14, the first lead I ever tried to learn was the long version of Light My Fire by The Doors. I got pretty close, but I didn't know the proper techniques and, consequently developed a unique style.
When I entered high school at age 15, I got turned onto bands like Cream, Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, and Uriah Heep. My love is psychedelic progressive rock but I also got into hard rock.
I really love fast fingering and amazing techniques, but I'm more into expressive sounds. I want a range of emotion from soft and melodic to surrealistic, to crying, screaming, shredding, and full on raging.

I like real music, not all that synthesized stuff. Certain rock bands, classical /orchestral and jazz music types. It's real talent when real instruments are used.
Nothing beats the drums! But I’ve learned that the electric guitar does some thangs to me 😂 Thats all I’m gonna say about that 🔥🔥🔥 Aside from those two, I love the sultriness of the sax, the cello at certain events, the flute (or recorder since i confuse the sounds), and really any sort of DJ turntables mix. And i know its not an instrument, but I also like a good whistle

The classical/acoustic guitar (John Williams and Julian Bream).
Flamenco guitar (Manitas de Plata).
Double pick playing (Mark Knopfler).

I enjoy listening to all of those instruments, but my favourite to listen to is electric guitar, mostly because I play guitar. There's just something about it that appeals to my musical sensibilities. Electric guitar is also one of the most versatile instruments on the planet, and the variety of sounds you can get from it is almost endless. It's also an instrument that can be used across a lot of musical genres too, so it has that going for it as well.
In descending order, I'd say: electric guitar, acoustic guitar, electric bass, sax (particularly tenor and baritone), drums, then piano/keyboards. But again, I enjoy them all within the right musical context.
I've also been getting into the idea of buying an electric bass, and just recently I have really been enjoying watching Hammond organ demonstration videos on YouTube. I'd also love to learn to play banjo. I have one, but as hard as I try, I just don't seem to have the dexterity in my picking hand to do the style I want. But yeah, overall, it's the electric guitar for me.
Violin, my brother used to play on violin.
I played on piano.
But always preferred violin…
What is yours?I love how a piano sounds, it's a stress reliever for me. Very peaceful.
I used to play the drums, my friend is a musician so he taught me how to play the drums. The only instrument I play is piano. I wanted to play the cello or violin, but my parents refused. Not sure why.
Well that is a weird one because I am trained at piano and vocal but when I am alone I am mostly listening to guitar music.

It’s difficult to even pick a favorite type of instrument. They’re all great in such different ways.
Just recently I've came across this ensemble that really changed my mind about their main musical instrument:
