In real life, Sagat defeats everyone starting with that Ryu guy. Ryu guy might do that spinning hurricane kick and then Sagat just grabs his leg and break it smash his face in with elbow. Then Ryu is like, "Shoryuken! Shoryuken!" trying to get off the ground with broken leg and then Sagat pull out a rocket launcher and blow him up.

@zxcwwrqwz Zangief can beat him with his grappling moves. Sagat uses muay thai which hits really hard from a distance, but grappling moves like BJJ or catch wrestling can beat him.
Your fancy punches and kicks won't work if a grappler is holding onto you and you can move your hips or legs to generate enough power to knock them out.

And most fights in real life end on the ground. of course he has to close the distance, but you are still playing defense if the grappler knows what he is doing.
