This may sound obscure because it's from a movie that didn't get nearly enough play back in the late 90's For the love of the game. It's about a aging great MLB pitcher Billy Chapel (played by Kevin Costner) who's relationship just ended with Jane (played by Kelly Preston). And he's playing a throwaway game of a bad season in the cathedral that is Yankee stadium. And as the game progresses he's getting struck with nostalgia of what went right and wrong in his relationship and how it fits in with the game he's loved his entire life, baseball. Finally in the 7th inning he realizes nobody of the opposing team has reached base. Which anyone who watches baseball knows could herald the start of something big as that is a great pitched game in and of itself. But now fatigue comes in. It's one thing to strike a batter out once or twice but a good hitter can catch on to your pitches as he's likely seen most if not all them. after seeing you the 3rd or 4th at bat it's the combo of fatigue and hitters experience that gets you. Which is why perfect games are so rare (23) to be exact in mlb history. But he is able to hold on, finish the game and get it. So of course they all celebrate after the game. But afterwards he goes back to the hotel and realizes this should have been the biggest moment in his life. But it wasn't because Jane wasn't there. Little did he know she was watching his perfect game in the airport terminal and elected to miss her flight to London and her new life. Not because she loved baseball. But because she loved him and didn't want to miss what she knew was a big moment for him. So as a result. They ended up running into eachother the next day at the airport when they were to catch thier respective flights. Before this moment Billy loved the game so much he could never put the game aside, even for her. Because he put everything into it his entire life. And that moment last not made him understand his love for her had surpassed that of the game.
Anyways Shaggy was artist that was popular at the time and this song highlighted one of Billy's flashbacks and it was about pride, honor, and adversity. And overcoming what life throws at you. Because sports parallel life. And if you read the lyrics you can't help be inspired by it. Because life keeps coming at you. It doesn't stop and wait till you're ready. "Hope" is about never giving up, always remaining positive and you WILL overcome. Life may still not turn out the way you plan but that doesn't mean it's bad because as the song says "you never give up".
Sorry if this was long winded.
I love this one:
Richard O'Brien's (Riff Raff) voice is like a chain saw. And I fell in love with Nell Cambell's voice and character
This song is sexy:
Of course, this is a classic:
I'll have to say this one from Ben Hur - "the parade of the charioteers". Quite an impressive orchestra.

This was used in two movies, that I know of. The original use was in, "Head", then it was used again near the end of "Vanilla Sky".
I'm SURE there are quite a few more but I also like this one.
And this one, from the movie, "Shy People".
And several John Carpenter theme songs: They Live, The Thing, etc..
Here's an often overlooked one, but it's one that sticks in your head.
