The way I understand the American accent is that - it's not really a specific accent but rather that they add pronunciations and intonations to words that are not added in other accents like the British accent or the Indian English accent. So the way to pick it up, is to watch dialogue. I don't recommend movies unless you are a beginner in English because the words they use are not important to normal life. Watching religious videos spoken in English would help more because they use words that are part of daily conversation and social occurrence. As well as self help videos by people online if you don't like religious videos.

There's also the dialect library you can search up, which has scripts read by a variety of people from a variety of places. There's many entries for American readers so you can find many different regional accents.
