Who is your favorite female Rock and Roll artist of all time?

There aren't a lot of Rock n Roll ladies that haven't already been mentioned so I'm gonna cheat a little an bump it to Heavy Metal.

Excellent, you both have exquisite taste
Ann Wilson. Rocked with the boys and was as hot if not hotter than the girls!
I'd like to add Stevie Nicks as an honorable mention. Also rocked, also hot.
Awesome! That also reminds me of Aimee Mann as well. She was more 80's synth, but still preforms solo to this year.

Joan Jett or The go gos
would you consider Stevie Nicks rock?
When it comes to pure rock and roll, Heart was a great band with sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson.
So was Pat Benatar.
But, I think I have to go with Joan Jett because she really lived it all her life.
I remember seeing this video before MTV was created and I was blown away.

This video too. Both 1980 before MTV.

HBO back then used to play music videos as bumpers between movies.
Can I change my answer to Cinderella? ;)

Orianthi one of the few female rock and roll artists that actually can make a electric guitar sing XD. And a former lead guitarist hand picked by the pop legend Michael Jackson. As to what my more recent favorite female artist. Getting to play with some of recent Rock and Roll's top legendary guitarists is probably one of her most impressive recent feats on the rock and roll scene.
Like getting to put a rock battle song on one of her albums along side Steve Vai is probably one of the most underrated epic rock guitarist songs in recent history.
So few guitarists now a days are brave enough to go full feature with just pure guitar talent its such a shame that its a dying art...
And I know a lot here are gonna be like Steve Vai? who the hell is he?
Gamers should know him from what he did for Halo.(Link to the archive of Marty O Donnels original recording of Steve Vai doing the epic solo in the OG Bungie audio garage studio.)

And for those who want the duet of Orianthi and Steve Vai. (Link/video to their amazing guitar duet.)

Many to list. I like songs but not all from all artists. Here's
Halestorm (Elizabeth "Lzzy" Hale)
The Pretty Reckless (Taylor Momsen)
Evanescence (Amy Lee) sometimes considered pop or alternative though.
Many others.
No one's mentioned Cycle Sluts From Hell. I had one of their tapes.
Ok. I waited but no one said Hole.
Nancy Wilson (on the right,) younger sister of Ann Wilson (on the left,) guitarist extraordinaire of Heart!
Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, Heart, Alannah Myles, Stevie Nicks. There is a lot more. by the way... be they were a sound track band, Jefferson Airplane. Grace slick could rock a show until she tripped out on a bunch of Germans in Germany. She was so high the clouds couldn't touch her... geez.
So many to choose from. Joan Jett, Suzi Quatro, June Millington (guitarist and sometimes lead singer of Fanny)... but if I can only choose one, I think I will go with Ann's little sister:
I thought someone else would say it, so I also want to add in Marge Raymond of Flame and later of Renegade.
I'm going to say Suzi Quatro. You young kids wouldn't remember her, so here's a video.
Rock :) ... I think of Doro Pesch right now

https://www.youtube.com/embed/rU5ssYNRDoQAnn Wilson, hands down
Go go’s/Belinda Carlisle.
You say they are not rock, I respectfully disagree. They are more rock n roll than a lot of others in these answers.

I'd love to have her sign my guitar.
What a rocker!
Have three... can't decide which... Grace Slick, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie
Suzi Quatro was out here recently. She gave a good concert.
Aegis in my country their voice is just hard and powerful. when i listen to it i feel like my throat is hirtinh 😁... usually in my country another perdon can easily copy an artist or singer but this one is hard to copy

Joan Jett was a long time favorite.
Ann Wilson has the best rock n roll female voice I've ever heard. Others are harsher or more raw, but they can't do what Ann did. Then there was Janis, and there's Pat Benatar, and Amy Lee... all of them great !
Do the Pretenders and Fleetwood Mac count?
Dolores O'Riordan
The band classified themselves as an alternative rock group, but incorporated aspects of indie rock, jangle pop, dream pop, folk rock, post-punk and pop rock into their sound.
Dolores O'Riordan of the crabbers amazing voice and music 🎵 RIP 🇮🇪🇮🇪
Susanna Hoffs of the Bangles. she's still smoking hot 40 years later.
Not sure if you would class him as rock, but freddie mercury.. what a legend.
