You were talking so brave and so sweet
Givin' me head on the unmade bed"

Halalujah is a great song. For some reason people think it's a hym.
It is an amazing song. I think a contender for one of the most beautiful ever written. And I never thought I would hear a version better than Cohen himself singing it. Over produced. No context. Lacks the rawness of Cohen or Buckley.
I try to separate the song itself from the video. When I do that I see this as a masterpiece. Sure it has a completely different flavor than the original. But beautiful and moving nonetheless.
I wasn't a big Leonard Cohen fan back in the 60s/70s and didn't really appreciate his music until recent years. With one or two exceptions... I always liked Suzanne and one or two others. But the rest of it wasn't too appealing to me until fairly recent adulthood. I knew a lot of people who were crazy about him back then though.
