What kind of musician is the most underrated, and why?

I would say drummers.
People think it's just hitting drums and staying in time, but trying to make smacking something with a stick sound musical takes a whole other level of musicianship that only drummers understand.
(And I'm not a drummer lol)

A well-composed drum track is like solving a puzzle… picking out all the grooves, rhythmic patterns, chord changes and riffs, and even trying to channel the overall vibe and emotions in the music into how the drums go…

Definitely way more than what meets the eye.

I would say the underground musicians, but they're gaining the most traction overall. Mainstream autotune carbon copy bullshit cannot compete with independent artists.

Now Apple and Spotify are trying to drive them even more underground by not accepting music without a Dolby Atmos version. Which costs tens of thousands of dollars to produce (for the system to produce it on anyway)... So I've heard, I can't confirm that tho
