i played in the orchestra for this girl one time when she was in LA and when i heard her sing i was like holy crap. the players clapped for her in rehearsal, which is rare, and the audience went crazy for her when she did the show

I totally agree with you about Nadia; she never once got the recognition she deserved. She got a bunch of people remixing her music though, so I guess that's kind of a form of recognition? I feel like that's more just widespread acknowledgement that you dropped an incompleted track! lol
Another underrated artist is Lord Huron.

Karen Carpenter. Not even my style of music, but she was pretty much dead on with everything she sang and this was before auto-tune could fix stuff.
