I’m a pretty big fan of this local rapper in Boston called E Burton…

Free my 🥷 Brickz, my 🥷 locked for another gun
When my 🥷 spin, it’s head shots, we ain’t pullin’ stunts
It’s one 🥷 shootin’, but it sounds like it’s two of us🎶
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
”E Burton fa’ certain, The Project Prince, MHPUSA Life, Glow Gang, 50 great shit”🫡
For those not into that gangsta shit, haha, here’s something totally different😝….
Back in high school, there was a band called Nerf Herder. Kind of a two-hit wonder, but they weren’t even huge hits (should’ve been😤). They were kind of in the same vein as Weezer, geeky white guys making silly songs that still go pretty hard.
This was their biggest hit, “Van Halen”, an ode to the band of the same name who they idolized as kids, although in the third verse they change their tune and renounce them after the departure of David Lee Roth and his replacement with Sammy Hagar. (Correct take😂…
https://www.youtube.com/embed/mvAGBz4ZJm4Well, it turns out they went out with Weezer on a leg of their tour in 1997 (can’t believe I missed that…except it didn’t come to my area, so I guess there was nothing to do about it, haha), and about 8 years ago, Nerf Herder made another album, with A BANGER called (appropriately) “We Opened For Weezer.”
It sounds a lot like a song Weezer would write, haha. And they gave it the genre name I’ve been unable to come up with: “Nerd-core”…. absolutely perfect description, lmao. I’m not even a nerd, but I love both those bands😝
https://www.youtube.com/embed/_AiBAez4fp4hmm, not sure what counts as underrated...
you mean less unknown in the mainstream?
Yes.

Again nice! Putting that on my Spotify list.
awesome...
Haken should be huge by now.
Jadu Heart is such a unique choice! Their dreamy soundscapes are truly captivating. One underrated band I adore is Men I Trust. Their smooth, indie-pop vibes and songs like "Tailwhip" are so soothing and perfect for a chill day. 🎶 If you haven't heard them yet, I highly recommend giving them a listen!

I'd say in the West Nate Dogg is my favorite underrated artist

There's a ton of kpop groups that are good but never become successful. And there's some that become successful enough but are still underrated. I'd have to list like 30 but some of them I've forgotten because they have stopped being active years ago.
This group managed to get a fanbase but they never managed to completely break through, they have a lot of good songs.
This group started out with songs that weren't for me but they kept getting better and their last 2 songs were great then they disbanded.
This group was started by a producer who wrote a lot of hits but the group didn't do as well as expected and now he sadly died unexpectedly. I really liked their songs though they had a different vibe.
This group actually became really successful in Korea for a while but I still think they're kinda underrated internationally. They also have a lot of variety in their songs and musical style. This song is from later in their career and it's completely different from the beginning of their career.
Anyway hope this answers the question.
So many! Dixie Dregs, later known as just the Dregs

This heavy metal/shock rock band from Lapland called Lordi. They're pretty big in Europe, but not in the US, even though they've been around for over 3 decades

Barenaked Ladies - Lovers in a Dangerous Time
Gunship is an amazing synthwave band and deserves more attention.
Probably Alter Bridge. Mark Tremonti is the... GREATEST. He is criminally underrated as a guitar player.

I love her voice... will never get bored by it...
Tom rush has been my favorite for my whole life. I have seen him perform about 20 times over the years. A lot of famous artists like James Taylor, Garth Brooks and Bob Dylan were big fans. This is a classic that he also wrote.
"Goodbye dry eyes, I watched you plane fade off west of the moon,
And it felt so strange, to walk away alone."
Run the Jewels
Killer Mike n El-P the baddest duo in rap and hip hop.
Leah Kate - angrier, raw, DGAF, witty, darker lyrics
Yaz for a blast from the past 80s sound - underrated then n now
This band covers famous historical battles.
Last Stand stays in my playlist. I'm ashamed of how I learned about the song though. Legitimately horrific backstory about a massive murderer playing that song.
Mazzy Star
This guy has a sexy voice and I love this song
https://www.youtube.com/embed/qxX4rqBsFpsProbably Richie Kotzen.
Most of the bands I like are not famous in a worldwide sense.
I like bands like: X-Perience, Pharao, Missing Heart, Dune, Imperio... and some others, most people in here probably never heard of them.
The Black Angels
Old school, Fedon.
Modern, Tyler Childers.
I really don't know groups today. In my day it would have to be Triumph.
