Last year my neighbor brought a Chimpanzee home from his work (zoologist). I told him that I would shoot it if it came anywhere near my home and threatened my wife and children. He was understanding and said it would be temporary but I should do as I see fit. Anyway, I'll be damned! That was the coolest thing I ever experienced. He stayed with him for about 3 months and I was amazed at how smart and human like they are. I actually thought of him as my neighbors kid after a couple weeks. I would talk to him and he understood what I was saying! It was an unforgettable experience and now that he's gone, I kind of miss him.
