Two plot gaps, video Jones, Dial , who can fill?

in the new video indiana jones and DIAL , that i enjoyed. i noticed 2 gaps that i failed to comprehend.
1, when the guy said "you did not win, hitler lost," what is the difference if hitler lost, then allies won?
2, the happy ending, obviously only for marketing, marion who wanted divorce reunited, but gap how she changed her mind? tnx.
i LOVED the hint in philosophy that the "meaning of life" for each person, is the time they live in, "you were MEANT to be here" meaning in the generation in which he was born.
same philosophy for any asker.
you were meant to live at the time you are living for things in your lifetime.
i need to elaborate this amazing philosophical concept when i get a chance.

in a different group i got answers. 1, lost meant "caused his own lost" the verb lost which matched the context of his plan killing hitler to prevent action of losing the war by bad decisions.
2 the missing gap about marion is by the lady the one the greedy lady who wanted jones back in the "present" she "off screen" swayed marion to try again with the old cranky jones. so that caused her to regret her decision of divorce.

For number 1, the idea is that Hitler lost rather than the allies winning is similar to the idea of Harold Godwinson losing the Battle of Hastings rather than William the Conqueror winning it. There is a difference in someone winning something, and another losing it. If you win, it is because of your strategies and how you outsmarted the other. But if you lose, then it is due to your own incompetence, the winner may not be very skilled but they can still win if you are just incompetent. For me, it is more the idea that Hitler (and Harold, having studied about both) were not outsmarted but really just unable to win because they themselves were lacking in skill. The allies (and William) were smart, true, but they were not the best of the best and did not always have outstanding tactics.

Number 2, in the movie, it stated how they split because of their son passing away. I think they always loved each other but were just too scared to confront each other because they reminded each other of their son. But in the end, I think they are finally able to move on and reunite in harmony because all along they did love each other, and Indiana (who I believe was the one who did not want to move on) finally got past his fears and Marion (who wanted to take care of Indiana) could see his progress. They could then be at peace with each other due to their constant love and finally overcoming of their son's death.

I also really liked the philosophy of belonging to your own time. It is quite an interesting concept and gives people a feeling of security and meaning. (Sorry for such a long message!)
